Gypsy Rose & Roary Lion | Bonded Pair, American Eskimo Dog/Pembroke Welsh Corgi Mixes | The Cutest Senior Duo Looking for twice the love, twice the snuggles, and twice the joy? Meet Gypsy Rose and Roary Lion, an adorable bonded pair who are ready to spend their golden years being spoiled in a forever home together. These two lost their owner when she passed away, and all they want now is a family to love, cuddle, and share their sweet, gentle personalities with. Gypsy Rose is a beautiful brindle girl with the softest eyes and the sweetest soul. She’s the kind of pup who wants to be near you all the time—resting her head on your lap, curling up on the couch, or sneaking onto a pillow at night to keep you company. At 25 lbs, she’s the perfect size for a snuggle buddy. She’s house trained, calm, and has just enough pep in her step to enjoy a game of fetch or a leisurely walk. Ask her if she wants to go potty and she’ll bark with excitement—it’s her little happy routine. She loves toys, adores giving kisses, and has a playful spark that shines brighter because of her gentle, loving nature. Roary Lion is her handsome golden sidekick, a 15 lb bundle of sweetness who’s just as happy lounging under the covers as he is exploring the great outdoors. He absolutely LOVES being outside and will happily trot along on a short walk or bask in the sunshine. He’s house trained, affectionate, and adores treats (though with only a couple of teeth left, he prefers the small, soft kind—he doesn’t let that slow him down one bit!). Roary Lion is friendly with everyone—dogs, cats, men, women—and will gently ask for pets whenever he gets the chance. His favorite thing? Snuggling up close and being part of whatever his people are doing. Together, Gypsy Rose and Roary Lion are the perfect little pair. They’re calm, cuddly, and absolutely devoted to each other, always happiest when they’re side by side. With their low-to-medium energy levels, they’ll be content with a couple of short daily walks and then will happily curl up for a movie marathon or nap marathon—your choice! They may bark a bit when other pups head out on walks or when a delivery truck rumbles by, but they settle down quickly and go right back to being angels. These two are more than just pets—they’re companions who will bring warmth, laughter, and love into your life every single day. After all they’ve been through, Gypsy Rose and Roary Lion deserve a family who will cherish them as much as they’ll adore you. If you’re ready for a double dose of cuteness and cuddles, these two are ready to meet you. If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives! A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you. The adoption fee for this pet is $100. Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all vaccinations after adoption. Please fill out an adoption application by clicking here . Please give us 48 hours to review your application and respond to you. (Remember to check your spam folder for our emails!) We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Please email dogsarrcolorado for more information, as we can't accept calls. PLEASE NOTE: The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter. Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets. Here is some interesting info on breed identification: arrcolorado/category/puppy-dog-tips/ Our adoption process is: 1. Fill out our Adoption Application online. We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet. 2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting. Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member!

  1. Do your research - find out what types of dogs would be a good fit for your lifestyle and the activity level of your family. Also keep in mind the grooming needs of certain breeds that might require frequent maintenance.
  2. Decide what you can handle - before you get sucked in by all the adorable puppy eyes you're about to see, think long and hard about the appropriate age dog for your family or if you are capable of caring for a special needs dog. Puppies are a lot of work, if you don't have time for potty training and obedience classes you'll want to consider an older dog. There are plenty of middle aged, vibrant dogs up for adoption as well as many senior dogs that would be a great fit for a family looking for a more subdued dog with lots of love to give.
  3. Learn about the shelters and their adoption policies - It might be easier to start looking at shelters within a certain radius of home but don't be afraid to venture out to other states as well. Many states have larger populations of adoptable dogs and their shelters are willing to transport pets to suitable adopting families. Some shelters might have requirements for a home visit, a fenced yard or require you to visit the pet multiple times before you commit to adopting. Understand that the shelters are doing their best to place the pets in suitable homes and these requirements are in the best interest of both you and the pet
  4. Start looking… - Once you know what you're looking for and what to expect you can start your search through thousands of adoptable dogs. PuppyFinder allows you to search by age, breed, location and gender.
  5. Meet in person. - Whenever possible it is best to meet the animal in person before agreeing to bring them into your life. Even though photos and descriptions can tell you a bit about a dog, you can't get a true feeling for the animal until you are able to interact with them and make sure they are a good fit for your entire family, including other pets.
