A note to those looking at CPR. We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. Our job is to find those someone's. Our most successful adopters come to CPR not because they want a dog. They come to us because they want to give a dog a home. We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture. While we like to know what you like in looks, a dog is more than a pretty face. Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home. We want to create furever families.

Reason for being in rescue: Delta was born into rescue. He was adopted as a puppy. Delta returned to rescue in August 2025 when life changed for his family.
Foster location: Dreamweaver Farms, Pacolet SC
Special Needs? Delta is neutered, up to date on vaccines and heartworm negative.

Fence needed? Yes. Delta requires a physically fenced yard with fencing 4 feet or taller.
What kind of home would be best for me? Delta is a young, active boy that needs a highly active home. Not just physical exercise - Delta is SMART and needs mental exercise daily. His forever home must meet 3 specific requirements. First, you must have another high energy, medium to large dog that wants a constant playmate and sometimes nag. Second, you must be an active person that wants a dog that is high energy. Just when you think you're done, Delta has rested and is ready to go again. And finally, no cats. Delta thinks they are super fun in his foster home and loves to chase them. Naughty, silly boy.
What is my personality like? Delta was born into rescue the night that his mom and many other dogs were seized as part of a hoarding case. He was raised in a foster home and placed with a loving family. Life changed a lot for Delta's family and returning to rescue to find a home with the time and energy for him was the best decision. We make lifetime commitments to all dogs at Carolina Poodle Rescue.
Delta is an 18-month-old moyen poodle with enough energy to power a small city. This boy is HIGH, HIGH energy and looking for a family that can keep up with his zest for life. Delta loves everyone—people, kids, and other dogs. He’ll happily greet new friends and has never met a stranger. He adores running, car rides, and all kinds of adventures. At home, he’ll snuggle close (or even right on top of you, if you let him).
Delta has a few "tricks" that you should be aware of. First, he's part acrobat and easily clears any baby gate that you put up. Second, he must have trained on a pogo stick because he can jump. High. With lots of enthusiasm when he sees you. Third, there may be some beaver in his genetics. This boy will eat anything he can get his teeth on. If he's bored, that could include a shoe or table leg or toy. And finally, Delta is undoubtedly part teddy bear. A sweeter, happier, more loyal boy you will never meet. He is pure joy!!

House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.
Please note - we do not ship dogs. If you are interested in adopting, please take a look at the distance between the foster home location and your location and make sure you are willing to make that trip. Most of our dogs are at our farm in Pacolet, South Carolina.

Please note that when screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, color, age, etc. Others here may be a better fit for you. It is very difficult to get to know a living animal from a picture and a short description. Since we are constantly getting in new dogs, this may be a dog not in our listings yet. We want you to be very happy with your new companion and will make suggestions based on what you tell us about you.
