Meet Lucky Dog, Duke!
Duke is Looking For: This handsome young brindle pup isn't demanding a station in life befitting his name (castle, fiefdom, servants). No, he's just looking for his own humans to trot alongside on those sniffy walks and adventures! Making new pup pals along and having plenty of opportunity to run and play is on his wish list along with quality kibble and a cushy dog bed too. But above all he wants to know where he belongs, to be under his own roof, to be safe and loved. In exchange, he promises adoring gazes and loyal companionship for all his days.
What do you say? Is Duke the companion you have been seeking?
What Duke's foster says about him:
Duke is a sweet, intelligent, and affectionate dog who’s been making steady progress as he settles into home life. He’s gentle, eager to please, and very in tune with people’s emotions. Once he feels comfortable, he loves attention and enjoys being around other dogs—his play style is friendly and social.
He’s learning basic commands like sit, come, and stay, and responds well to both praise and treats. Duke knows his name, listens attentively, and has been improving with crate time—he naps in it during the day and sleeps through the night comfortably.
At home, Duke is calm and well-mannered, sticking mostly to his toys. He’s still adjusting to a consistent bathroom routine, but he’s making progress each day. His appetite is great, and he enjoys gentle, simple meals that keep him feeling his best.
Duke thrives around other dogs and continues to gain confidence in new experiences.
Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training.
