the life of your new canine companion. A note to those looking at CPR. We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. Our job is to find those someone's. Our most successful adopters come to CPR not because they want a dog. They come to us because they want to give a dog a home. We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture. While we like to know what you like in looks, a dog is more than a pretty face. Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home. We want to create furever families. Our descriptions contain all that we know about this dog today. We'll update as more information is known. Are you looking to adopt within the next 30 days? If so please visit our webpage at .carolinapoodlerescue and complete the application. You'll find it in the menu on the left hand side. You'll also find a total listing of all our dogs available. Just browsing but interested in poodles and poodle mixes? Please drop a note to applicationscarolinapoodlerescue with your name, address and phone # and email. We'll add you to our mailing list. thanks the CPR Adoption team Date into Rescue: 09/08/2025 Reason for being in rescue: Breeder surrender Foster location: Dreamweaver Farms, Pacolet SC Special Needs? Bullet is neutered, up to date on vaccines and heartworm negative. On 09/18/25 he had a dental with 5 extractions. Our veterinarian has recommended annual dental exams for Bullet. Weight: 10.5 lbs Height: 12 in Spayed/Neutered: Yes Adoption Fee: $399 Fence needed? No What kind of home would be best for me? Bullet has never known life as a companion. He is accustomed to dogs (lots of them) and routine. You will teach him what being a pet means. The good news - Bullet is a happy dog that is eager to learn. His forever home is with a family that can offer him consistency and routine. A family that understands he has never lived in a home and is not house trained but is trying. A family that has another dog is non-negotiable. Ez has never known life without canine companions. A family with an abundance of patience to go the distance with this special boy. Ideally, a family that has rescued before. What is my personality like? Meet Bullet, a toy poodle with a tender heart and a gentle spirit. Despite his name, Bullet isn’t one to rush into things—he prefers to take life at his own pace. With a timid nature, it takes him some time to build trust, but once he knows you’re his person, his love runs deep and true. He’s the kind of dog who loves hard, just not fast. Think of it as a slow-burn romance, where patience and kindness blossom into a lifelong bond. Bullet feels most confident when he’s with another dog. His puppy friends bring him comfort and joy, and he trusts them much more quickly than people. Because of this, another small dog in the home is a must—a canine companion will help Bullet settle in and remind him that the world isn’t such a scary place after all. When it comes to people, Bullet needs a gentle hand and a calm environment. He would do best in a home with older children (10–12+), as sudden movements, grabbing, or overwhelming affection can make him nervous. He’s still learning that love can be physical—pets, cuddles, and scratches are all things he’ll come to enjoy with time, space, and reassurance. Playtime, however, comes naturally! Bullet loves running and wrestling with his doggy pals, showing off his playful side in bursts of joy. When he’s not romping around, you’ll often find him watching you from a safe distance, quietly taking it all in as he learns to trust more each day. Since Bullet is a breeder release, many things will be new to him. Leash skills, house manners, and daily routines are all areas where he’ll need patience and training. The good news? Bullet is smart, eager to please, and a quick learner—he’ll pick things up faster than you might expect once he feels secure. Bullet is searching for a loving home that understands the beauty of patience. With the right family by his side—and a canine buddy to show him the ropes—he will grow into the loyal, affectionate, and joyful companion he’s meant to be. How do I act when I first meet new people? With a timid nature, it takes Bullet some time to build trust, but once he knows you’re his person, his love runs deep and true. Other tips and tidbits: Bullet's birthday is 02/21/2020 House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to /follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule. Please note - we do not ship dogs. If you are interested in adopting, please take a look at the distance between the foster home location and your location and make sure you are willing to make that trip. Most of our dogs are at our farm in Pacolet, South Carolina. To apply, please visit our webpage at .carolinapoodlerescue and visit the tab on the left that directions you to the online application. Please note that when screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, color, age, etc. Others here may be a better fit for you. It is very difficult to get to know a living animal from a picture and a short description. Since we are constantly getting in new dogs, this may be a dog not in our listings yet. We want you to be very happy with your new companion and will make suggestions based on what you tell us about you. Thank you for considering CPR.

  1. Do your research - find out what types of dogs would be a good fit for your lifestyle and the activity level of your family. Also keep in mind the grooming needs of certain breeds that might require frequent maintenance.
  2. Decide what you can handle - before you get sucked in by all the adorable puppy eyes you're about to see, think long and hard about the appropriate age dog for your family or if you are capable of caring for a special needs dog. Puppies are a lot of work, if you don't have time for potty training and obedience classes you'll want to consider an older dog. There are plenty of middle aged, vibrant dogs up for adoption as well as many senior dogs that would be a great fit for a family looking for a more subdued dog with lots of love to give.
  3. Learn about the shelters and their adoption policies - It might be easier to start looking at shelters within a certain radius of home but don't be afraid to venture out to other states as well. Many states have larger populations of adoptable dogs and their shelters are willing to transport pets to suitable adopting families. Some shelters might have requirements for a home visit, a fenced yard or require you to visit the pet multiple times before you commit to adopting. Understand that the shelters are doing their best to place the pets in suitable homes and these requirements are in the best interest of both you and the pet
  4. Start looking… - Once you know what you're looking for and what to expect you can start your search through thousands of adoptable dogs. PuppyFinder allows you to search by age, breed, location and gender.
  5. Meet in person. - Whenever possible it is best to meet the animal in person before agreeing to bring them into your life. Even though photos and descriptions can tell you a bit about a dog, you can't get a true feeling for the animal until you are able to interact with them and make sure they are a good fit for your entire family, including other pets.
