especially in the life of your new canine companion. A note to those looking at CPR. We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. Our job is to find those someone's. Our most successful adopters come to CPR not because they want a dog. They come to us because they want to give a dog a home. We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture. While we like to know what you like in looks, a dog is more than a pretty face. Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home. We want to create furever families. Our descriptions contain all that we know about this dog today. We'll update as more information is known. Are you looking to adopt within the next 30 days? If so please visit our webpage at .carolinapoodlerescue and complete the application. You'll find it in the menu on the left hand side. You'll also find a total listing of all our dogs available. Just browsing but interested in poodles and poodle mixes? Please drop a note to applicationscarolinapoodlerescue with your name, address and phone # and email. We'll add you to our mailing list. thanks the CPR Adoption team Date into Rescue:2/23/25 Reason for being in rescue: Woolie was found as a stray and landed at a SC shelter. Carolina Poodle Rescue pulled him from the shelter. Foster location: Dreamweaver Farms, Pacolet SC Special Needs? Woolie is neutered, up to date on vaccines and heartworm negative. Woolie was found as a stray, so we have absolutely no history on him. He appears to be a small doodle mix. We cannot guarantee that he is hypoallergenic or that he won't shed. Weight: 16 lbs Height: in Spayed/Neutered: Yes Adoption Fee: $349 Fence needed? No What kind of home would be best for me? Woolie is the kind of dog who would do well in just about any home environment. Whether you live in a quiet home or a more active household, this adaptable little guy just wants to be part of a family that will give him love, patience, and the time he needs to feel secure. He bonds closely with his people and becomes a devoted companion once he feels comfortable. While Woolie doesn’t absolutely need another dog in his new home, he would certainly enjoy having one! At the poodle farm, Woolie loves to romp and play with his canine friends and can often be seen trotting happily behind them as they explore. He takes comfort and confidence from being around other dogs and seems to truly enjoy their company. A playful, friendly pup in the home could be a wonderful match for him. What is my personality like? Woolie is an adorable Mini Poodle mix with a sweet personality. He’s a gentle soul who can be a little nervous in new situations, but once he has a chance to settle in, his affectionate and playful side shines through. It doesn’t take long before Woolie is happily wagging his tail, showing off his sweet nature, and inviting you to play. Because Woolie is still learning about the world, he will need some patience and understanding as he gets used to things like leash walks, new environments, and house routines. He’s a smart little poodle who’s eager to please and picks up on new skills quickly once he understands what’s expected of him. With gentle guidance and consistency, he’ll continue to build confidence and learn how to navigate his surroundings with ease. Woolie’s ideal family will appreciate a dog who may start out cautious but has so much love to give once he feels safe. He would thrive in a home that values his sensitive, affectionate nature and can provide the encouragement he needs to continue blossoming. In return, Woolie will reward you with loyalty, playfulness, and endless cuddles. If you’re looking for a kindhearted companion who will bring warmth, joy, and a little extra sparkle to your home, Woolie is ready to meet you! How do I act when I first meet new people? Woolie can be tentative at first, but give him a few minutes and he turns on the charm! Other tips and tidbits: Woolie was found as a stray, so we have absolutely no history on him. Based on his overall health and condition he is estimated at 1 year old. We celebrate his birthday 6/16/24. House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule. Please note - we do not ship dogs. If you are interested in adopting, please take a look at the distance between the foster home location and your location and make sure you are willing to make that trip. Most of our dogs are at our farm in Pacolet, South Carolina. To apply, please visit our webpage at .carolinapoodlerescue and visit the tab on the left that directions you to the online application. Please note that when screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, color, age, etc. Others here may be a better fit for you. It is very difficult to get to know a living animal from a picture and a short description. Since we are constantly getting in new dogs, this may be a dog not in our listings yet. We want you to be very happy with your new companion and will make suggestions based on what you tell us about you. Thank you for considering CPR.

  1. Do your research - find out what types of dogs would be a good fit for your lifestyle and the activity level of your family. Also keep in mind the grooming needs of certain breeds that might require frequent maintenance.
  2. Decide what you can handle - before you get sucked in by all the adorable puppy eyes you're about to see, think long and hard about the appropriate age dog for your family or if you are capable of caring for a special needs dog. Puppies are a lot of work, if you don't have time for potty training and obedience classes you'll want to consider an older dog. There are plenty of middle aged, vibrant dogs up for adoption as well as many senior dogs that would be a great fit for a family looking for a more subdued dog with lots of love to give.
  3. Learn about the shelters and their adoption policies - It might be easier to start looking at shelters within a certain radius of home but don't be afraid to venture out to other states as well. Many states have larger populations of adoptable dogs and their shelters are willing to transport pets to suitable adopting families. Some shelters might have requirements for a home visit, a fenced yard or require you to visit the pet multiple times before you commit to adopting. Understand that the shelters are doing their best to place the pets in suitable homes and these requirements are in the best interest of both you and the pet
  4. Start looking… - Once you know what you're looking for and what to expect you can start your search through thousands of adoptable dogs. PuppyFinder allows you to search by age, breed, location and gender.
  5. Meet in person. - Whenever possible it is best to meet the animal in person before agreeing to bring them into your life. Even though photos and descriptions can tell you a bit about a dog, you can't get a true feeling for the animal until you are able to interact with them and make sure they are a good fit for your entire family, including other pets.
