TJ | 6-Month-Old Shiba Inu/Lab Mix | Playful, Curious, and Full of Personality Meet TJ, an energetic and affectionate 6-month-old Shiba Inu/Lab mix who’s as sweet as he is spunky. Weighing in at about 19 pounds, TJ is still very much a puppy—curious about everything, eager to play, and learning as he goes. He’s doing well with kennel training and sleeps through the night like a champ. While he’s making progress with house training, he still has some work to do and will thrive with consistency and patience. TJ loves other dogs and would do best in a home with a playful canine companion who can help him learn structure and boundaries. He’s also great with kids and does well with cats—though he mostly just acknowledges them and moves on. Walks are an adventure for TJ; he’s still learning not to pull and may chew on his leash, but he’s eager to please and motivated by food, toys, and affection. This fun-loving pup has a medium-to-high energy level and enjoys keeping up with active dogs like Aussies and Border Collies. When left alone, he does best with another dog for company and may get into mischief if he finds something chewable—so he’ll need a home that’s puppy-proofed and ready to guide him through his growing stages. TJ is playful, loving, and ready to find a family who can keep up with his energy and enthusiasm. With a bit of training and a lot of love, he’s sure to become a loyal, joyful companion for life. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives! A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you. The adoption fee for this pet is $450 (includes a $50 refundable puppy training deposit). Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog.
