Meet Varda – The Sweetest Little Guardian Turned Couch Connoisseur!
Varda is a graceful retired livestock guardian who’s traded in her watch over goats and bunnies for a well-deserved spot on the couch. Born around October 2020, she’s on the smaller side for her breed — a perfect fit for someone who wants all the love and loyalty of a Maremma (an Italian Pyrenees) in a slightly smaller package!
This lovely lady has a wonderful temperament and a kind, gentle soul. She’s proven to be safe and trustworthy around goats, chickens, bunnies, and even cats, and she takes her guardian duties seriously — she rarely barks but was quick to sound an alert about the coyote on the driveway recently!
Now that she’s discovered the joys of indoor life, Varda has settled right in. She’s a pro at snuggling, enjoys soft beds, and loves relaxing time with her people. She’s also sweetly affectionate, offering gentle kisses to those she loves. She walks great on the leash and would benefit from positive reinforcement training to further her skills.
Varda enjoys the company of other dogs but is equally comfortable doing her own thing — she’s a mellow, balanced companion who’s happy to just be with you.
If you’re looking for a dog who brings serenity, and sweetness in a petite fluffy package into your home, Varda is your girl.
