Nemo | 1-year-old Boxer Mix | The Almost-Perfect Pup
Meet Nemo — a one-year-old Boxer mix who is as lovable as he is handsome! Weighing in at 44 pounds, this brown and white cutie is the full package: sweet, playful, gentle, and eager to please. Nemo has been a model houseguest since arriving at his foster home, with no accidents and great progress in his training. He’s more than 95% house-trained, knows basic commands like “come,” “no,” “off,” and “leave it,” and is working on “sit” and “stay.” He’s not yet fully crate-trained, but he’ll go in with a tremendous amount of bribing and some very strategic coaching.
Nemo is a happy, social boy who loves everyone he meets — men, women, and especially kids. He’s gentle with toddlers and adores children of all ages. He gets along beautifully with other dogs, large and small, and is always eager to play if the feeling is mutual. While he hasn’t lived with cats, he’s shown curiosity but no reactivity when he’s seen them outdoors.
This fun-loving pup has a medium-to-high energy level and enjoys about two hours of walks and playtime a day, but he’s just as content snuggling on the couch afterward. He loves toys (especially his fluffy duck and rope), playing fetch, and going for walks where he can roll happily in the grass. Nemo is still young and will occasionally chew or jump when excited, but he responds quickly to gentle correction and thrives on consistent structure.
With his easygoing nature and affectionate personality, Nemo would be a wonderful companion for just about any household — a family with kids, an active couple, or even a first-time dog owner. He’d do well with another friendly dog, a yard to explore, or an apartment as long as he gets his walks. He loves being near his people, gives the sweetest kisses, and will happily rest his head on you during movie night. Nemo is ready to bring love, joy, and a touch of goofiness to his forever home.
If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives! A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you.
The adoption fee for this pet is $375. Our adoption fee covers the following:
Spay/neuter
Microchip
DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog.
Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog.
Adopters shall be responsible for all vaccinations after adoption.
Please fill out an adoption application by clicking here . Please give us 48 hours to review your application and respond to you. (Remember to check your spam folder for our emails!) We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process!
Please email dogsarrcolorado for more information, as we can't accept calls.
PLEASE NOTE: The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter. Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets. Here is some interesting info on breed identification: arrcolorado/category/puppy-dog-tips/
