Rucker – Yellow Male Labrador, 10 Months, 67 lbs
Meet Rucker, the happy-go-lucky yellow Lab with a heart as big as his smile! At just 10 months old, this handsome youngster has already mastered all the basics — he’s house-trained, sleeps quietly in his crate at night, walks nicely on leash, and knows his commands: sit, stay, potty, crate, and bed.
Rucker loves his toys (especially anything that squeaks or can be chewed!), and he’s a gentle, playful boy who’s grown up around children and adores being part of family life. You won’t find any roughhousing or jumping here — Rucker’s manners are top-notch.
Rucker has been diagnosed with bi-lateral hip dysplasia, but don’t tell him that! He doesn’t let it slow him down one bit. Our orthopedic surgeon explained that this is a genetic condition and that Rucker can lead a normal, happy life unless pain ever becomes an issue. With moderate exercise to build muscle, a healthy weight, and good nutrition, he may never need surgery at all. He’s not showing any signs of discomfort now, but his family will need to help him stay fit and active within healthy limits. Rucker deserves the best future possible.
He rides beautifully in the car (though he’ll need a ramp for getting in and out — we can provide one if needed).
Rucker is all Labrador joy — affectionate, eager to please, and ready to be your loyal companion for life. If you’re looking for a happy, handsome young Lab who’s full of love, heart, and gratitude, Rucker is waiting to meet you!
