m glad to be here. I’m heartworm positive, but I'll be treated for that soon and I hope to be with my family before my treatment starts. I’m adjusting to life at the shelter and getting more comfortable every day, and I can’t wait to find my forever family and share my love with!
• OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I met other dogs at Mostly Mutts that were around my size and though I wasn’t quite ready to play with them yet, I was very interested, so if you have a nice dog at home already, let’s meet! / Cats unknown. / I haven’t met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, so let’s meet and I think older kids would be best who understand that I would like to come to them not the other way around as fast approaches do scare me, so let’s meet.
• PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I may be a little shy at first, but once I get to know you, I’ll be your best friend for life! I warm up with a gentle approach - soft voices and slow movements help me feel safe. Once I trust you, the volunteers report that I’m about the sweetest dog they’ve met! I love giving kisses, soaking up pets, and showing off my happy trot on walks. I even did great for my bath - nervous at first, but brave and sweet through it all. Now I’m opening up more each day, greeting friends with tail wags and joy. / Energy Level: 4-6.
• SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I'm in the Mostly Mutts University training program and have already mastered the ‘sit’ command and I look forward to learning more. The Mostly Mutts trainer will show you what works best when leashing me as that can be a little harder until I know you. / I’m doing well in my little room at Mostly Mutts though I don’t want to come out of it if I don’t know you. The good news is that once I meet you – you’re in and I’ve been remembering the people I’ve met, so that’s good. I’m learning to come out with little pieces of Pup-Peroni treats tossed on the ground and doing well with that as I get to know new people. I haven’t been in a crate yet, but will be trying that out soon, so just ask about it. / My potty manners have been very good on the shelter schedule, so hopefully that will be the case in my new home, too!
• LIKES/DISLIKES: I love spending time in laps and soaking up attention! Playing with toys is one of my favorite things, and if you’ve got little pieces of Pup-Peroni treats, they make me so happy! / I get a little nervous with fast movements or hands reaching toward my head, so please go slowly and let me come to you at my own pace. I just need a gentle, patient approach to feel comfortable and I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise – once I’ve completed my heartworm treatment, and training.
• MEDICAL: I'm current on my annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered. Sadly, I wasn't kept on heartworm prevention in my previous home, so I'm heartworm positive. The good news is that I'll be treated for that in late December 2025 and Mostly Mutts will cover the cost of that treatment with their vet, so local adoption please. I hope to be with my family before treatment starts!
I’m a sweet little fellow looking for a great match! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.
