PSRC3613. My mother is a beautiful POMSKY who had a candescent relationship with the STANDARD SCHNAUZER male who lived next door. The look in his eyes won Belle (my mother) over and they began a hidden relationship until I and my siblings put an immediate stop to that. Wow, I want to be just like my father! Belle was so enamored with her beautiful babies that her love for my daddy became a sweet memory. It is to be expected since all of us babies are absolutely handsome! Two of my siblings have already gone to other homes, and soon I will be adopted by an SRC applicant! I heard my human mom say "Rhett is a sweetheart who loves to cuddle and enjoys playtime almost as much as cuddles". We were all born on August 30, 2025 and I weigh every bit of 11 pounds. Even though my dad is a strong medium size an I look more like him than my mom, I look so much more like my dad that it is believed I will be between a small and medium size. After all my mother is petite and very femin ine. Neither one of my parents are hefty or really large. My dad is an AKC registered Standard Schnauzer and mom is a lovely blend of Pomeranian and Husky, currently the Pomchey breed is not eligible to be AKC registered. That really doesn't matter because when you see me you be thrilled! My day is consistent and I enjoy it. My human mom works so hard to assure that I and my siblings are healthy, clean and have outside enjoyment. We all get fed first thing in the morning and then she gives each of us a bath and cleans our pen. After that all of us get to play in an outdoor pen for 2 to 3 hours. We play so much that time just flies by. Breakfast is served at 6am and before I know it, it is time for supper at 6pm. After all we have played, and napped and played even more. I notice things that go by because I am so intelligent. Children who are old enough are lots of fun so I get along with them very well, but no matter how hard I look I haven't found a cat to get to know so I can't tell you how we would get along. When I am adopted, I would do very well with another canine. Thought you might want to know that should you decide to adopt me and already have a dog. It would be wonderful if they would play with me. I love to play! If you adopt me, it is really important that I get lots of play time and cuddles. I like cuddles almost more than play. I really want a yard so I can run and play because obviously I am a little young to be leash trained. All the humans tell my human mom that they think all of us are absolutely adorable! I am old enough now to eat regular dog food and my human mom will let you know what I eat, and you will get some of my dog food so that I don't go hungry. My vaccinations have been kept up as required. Of course I am too young for Rabies and Heartworm testing. My fur is a unique coloring -- wait until you get to meet me. You won't find many puppies that have markings like mine. My coat is a combination of Black and Brown with a White cross across my chest. I suppose you might be wondering why my human mom did not just get me placed in homes by herself, well unfortunately, she has had serious medical issues in the family which she must deal with. Not me or my siblings--we are healthy. My human mom loves us so much that she asked for SRC to help her, and they were honored to have her ask. SRC will help us find the perfect family and will provide a microchip for me which may be inserted when I am old enough. Who knows my new parents might just be YOU! SRC WILL PROVIDE AN ADOPTION CONTRACT AND WILL REQUIRE THAT THIS PRECIOUS BOY BE NEUTERED ONCE HIS GROWTH PLATES CLOSE. ALSO CALLED EPIPHYSEAL PLATES, THESE ARE SOFT AREAS AT THE END OF LONG BONES WHICH ALLOWS THEM TO GROW TO THEIR FULL POTENTIAL. IT IS IMPORTANT THAT THESE CLOSE, AND THAT IS USUALLY AROUND 18 MONTHS. SOME VETS RECOMMEND THAT THE TIME FRAME FOR NEUTERING DOGS IS AFTER TESTICLES DECEND. Once the adoptive parents have had this canine neutered, SRC will provide a tax letter when provided a receipt showing he was neutered. IT IS REQUIRED THAT HE BE NEUTERED OR THIS DOG MAY BE RECLAIMED. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED AT:LIBERTY, NC THE ADOPTIVE FAMILY MUST BE WILLING TO DRIVE THERE TO PICK YOUR FAMILY COMPANION UP. THE DONATION BEING REQUESTED IN HONOR OF THE ADOPTON IS: $450.00 Please submit a completed adoption application and with that application, submit vet records for any pets you have had within the last 5 years along with photos of your residence including the yard (including the fencing). The owner of this Schnauzer will review all approved applications and documentation that SRC sends to them. They will contact you to ask questions and to answer any questions you may have. At that point if a meet and greet has been scheduled, an adoption contract will be sent to you which you must sign and return to SRC. If the meet and greet goes well, your donation of $ (tax deductible) may be made online so that the release of the Schnauzer may happen. SRC will notify the owner of this Schnauzer when the donation is completed so that they may release the Schnauzer to their new adoptive home. SRC will register his/her micro-chip in the new adoptive parents’ name(s) at no additional charge.

  1. Do your research - find out what types of dogs would be a good fit for your lifestyle and the activity level of your family. Also keep in mind the grooming needs of certain breeds that might require frequent maintenance.
  2. Decide what you can handle - before you get sucked in by all the adorable puppy eyes you're about to see, think long and hard about the appropriate age dog for your family or if you are capable of caring for a special needs dog. Puppies are a lot of work, if you don't have time for potty training and obedience classes you'll want to consider an older dog. There are plenty of middle aged, vibrant dogs up for adoption as well as many senior dogs that would be a great fit for a family looking for a more subdued dog with lots of love to give.
  3. Learn about the shelters and their adoption policies - It might be easier to start looking at shelters within a certain radius of home but don't be afraid to venture out to other states as well. Many states have larger populations of adoptable dogs and their shelters are willing to transport pets to suitable adopting families. Some shelters might have requirements for a home visit, a fenced yard or require you to visit the pet multiple times before you commit to adopting. Understand that the shelters are doing their best to place the pets in suitable homes and these requirements are in the best interest of both you and the pet
  4. Start looking… - Once you know what you're looking for and what to expect you can start your search through thousands of adoptable dogs. PuppyFinder allows you to search by age, breed, location and gender.
  5. Meet in person. - Whenever possible it is best to meet the animal in person before agreeing to bring them into your life. Even though photos and descriptions can tell you a bit about a dog, you can't get a true feeling for the animal until you are able to interact with them and make sure they are a good fit for your entire family, including other pets.
