After surviving neglect, Winter arrived underweight and in need of care. She has since had a much-needed dental cleaning, where eight painful teeth were removed. Although her previous owner claimed she was five, our vet feels she is likely closer to eight years old, yet her spark is unmistakable. As her health improves and her body fills out, her true age may reveal itself more clearly. Now weighing just a few pounds, she is gradually building muscle and gaining strength. With the support of high-quality cooked or canned food and gentle, consistent care, she is steadily blossoming.
Her joy shows up in the sweetest ways, a soft fan-tail swish, tiny pounces of excitement on her front paws, and the way she lovingly shadows her foster parents around the home as her daily “fitness routine.” Winter will thrive in a quiet, adult home where she can be cherished, protected, and spoiled with all the comfort she missed before. She’s delicate, sensitive, and deeply loving, a little winter breeze looking for a warm heart to call home.

This dog's adoption fee is $500 to go towards their vetting (vaccines, spay/neuter, heartworm/Ehrlichia/Lyme test, fecal test, pre-op blood work, dental cleaning, and microchip as well as grooming if needed).
