ne who will let them not be in a cage all day as they came from a not so great situation. Super dog, cat, and kid friendly. They love everybody, long daytime naps, and cuddles.
Milo and Maci are 9-year-old fawn pugs. They are siblings and have been together since birth, and are insanely bonded to each other. Their birthdate is 4/23/2016.
Milo is the cuddlebug of the pair. He must be touching you at all times; if he cannot touch you, he has to see you. Milo loves to be under the covers, whether you are on the couch or in bed. Milo runs on three legs for some reason. The vet thinks maybe it was injured at some point and healed on its own. He walks, jumps, and sits just fine; he just runs like a bunny. There is no current pain in his leg that the vet found.
Maci is a hermaphrodite and had both internal genitalia and has both external parts, but she wears a girl dog diaper because of the placement. Maci likes to sit on top of the couch on the back cushions. Maci is a talker and will tell you all about it! Maci does have a small amount of arthritis in her back hips, but I can't tell. The vet can just feel it. I tried a week of arthritis meds per the vet, but I did not see any difference in anything. It may just be an issue later down the road.
Neither are completely potty trained, but they didn't need to be where they were kept before they came to us. We have been working on it, and they are doing much better. I have full confidence they can be completely potty-trained in time. They wear their diapers just fine with no issues. They love fluffy, squeaky, stuffed toys. They are definitely couch dogs, but they do like their dog beds, too. They walk really well on a leash and are very well-behaved at the vet, until you cut their nails. They just scream when you cut their nails. They get along with dogs, cats, and kids perfectly. They are lickers, but they are really good about stopping when you tell them to. They go into the cage when you ask them to without a fight. We only put them in the cage when we leave the house, which isn't often, but they do great in the cage. They are the BEST welcoming committee you have ever met. They are SO excited when people come over or come home. They do circles, spins, howls, and yips. They are very loyal to their person. They are perfectly aged to go to an active home or a more "chill" home. They do fine with an open food bowl or timed feeding. They are kind of funny about their open food bowls. When Maci decides to eat, she eats a few kibbles, then finds Milo wherever he is in the house and barks at him, then goes back to eating. She will go back and forth the whole time, all the while Milo is just like "what?". They love fuzzy blankets and pillows . They usually tell us when they have to go outside, but sometimes I think they get too excited outside and forget to go and that is when they go in their diapers. We have had no issues with "door darting" or trying to escape from our fence, but we were told they are escape artists by their relinquisher. They are VERY treat-motivated. They have no stranger fear, no fear of the vacuum or carpet cleaner. They go up and down stairs just fine. They both love canned dog food, pumpkin, fresh peppers, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, green beans, apples, cucumbers, blueberries, and snap peas. Milo will also eat celery and banana. They aren't the best car riders, but they haven't had much practice. They are kind of unsettled at first, but do eventually settle down and lie down.
*Milo & Maci are bonded and they must be adopted together*
