his handsome 5-year-old Boxer-Bully mix has never met a stranger he didn't want to greet with a wagging tail and a happy wiggle. His favorite things in life? His people, belly rubs, treats, and making every day a little more fun.
Rocky has left his difficult past behind and is ready to start his next chapter with a family who will love him as much as he'll love them. He's the definition of a Velcro dog—wherever you go, he'll be right there, happily keeping you company. Whether he's proudly strolling through the neighborhood, showing off his zoomies in the yard, chasing his favorite ball, supervising dinner preparations, or convincing himself he's the perfect 60-pound lap dog, Rocky knows how to make every moment entertaining.
This smart boy is eager to learn and loves working for treats, making training both fun and rewarding. He already knows his basic manners, is house-trained, enjoys the security of his crate, and even knows how to walk on a treadmill like a pro!
While Rocky enjoys getting out for adventures, he's not a high-maintenance athlete. A nice walk or a game of fetch followed by a long afternoon lounging by the window is his perfect day. From his favorite lookout spot, he happily watches the neighborhood go by, keeping a close eye on passing neighbors—and, of course, sounding the alarm if a squirrel dares enter his territory! He's always hopeful that every knock at the door means new friends have come to visit.
Rocky is looking for a home where he can soak up all the love as the only pet. He absolutely adores people and prefers not to share his family with other animals. He has done well participating in structured training classes and pack walks with calm, well-managed dogs, showing that with space and guidance he can enjoy being around them.
Because Rocky is a strong, enthusiastic boy, he'd do best with older, respectful children who can enjoy his playful personality without being accidentally knocked over. He also loves to chew, so keeping plenty of durable dog toys on hand will make him one happy pup!
Rocky isn't just looking for a home—he's looking for his people. The ones he'll greet with full-body wiggles every day, follow from room to room, and love with his whole heart.
