and will make a great family and/or service dog. He is house-broken, crate-trained, and is a lifelong companion waiting to make unforgettable memories with you.
Ari’s perfect match is a confident, patient, and calm family with some familiarity with large dog breeds. He would be happiest in a home with a large and secure yard, with daily access to walking. Ari will continue to bond with and gentle encouragement, providing him with the stability he needs to thrive. He should do fine with respectful children or cats with the proper introduction and supervision.
Back Story
Ari was part of a backyard breeder's litter of ten. The mother and father are well kept and healthy. All of the litter mates have been adopted, and all weigh in excess of 100 pounds. They were brought to the ranch at 6 weeks old and have been with us since. Due to our resource shortga eit has been difficult to get Ari and many of the dogs to dog adoption events. This is the only reason he is still here.
DNA results: 76% German Shepherd.
Behavior Profile
Ari is a sweet, gentle boy. He loves quiet moments, affection, and snuggles. He is very intelligent, a quick learner, and thrives on praise. He tends to be shy at first but blooms into a loyal and protective companion once trust is built. He does well in a crate and in the house, and will bark when he needs to go outside. He may bark at unfamiliar things outside or while on leash, but is quiet and well-mannered otherwise. He is astute and will make a great protective companion for any family. He enjoys playing, hiking and swimming at the river.
