heart. At around 100 pounds, he’s a strong, athletic dog who thrives with structure, training, and a confident handler.
Feeny is fully house trained and crate trained, and he actually enjoys his crate as a calm, safe space. He knows and reliably responds to a solid set of commands including sit, come, heel, place, off, and “under” (laying on his belly under your legs when you're sitting down). He’s smart, highly trainable, and genuinely enjoys working with his person. Puzzle toys, learning new skills, and having a clear routine bring out the very best in him.
With people, Feeny is affectionate and endearing. He can look imposing at first glance, but he quickly reveals his softer side—goofy expressions, full-body leans, and a strong preference for cuddling on the couch or at bedtime. Once bonded, he is deeply devoted and wants nothing more than to be close to his person.
Important to know: Feeny cannot live with other animals or with young children. Despite extensive training and careful management, he has shown that he needs to be the only pet in the home. For his safety and the safety of others, he requires a home with no other dogs, cats, or small animals, and no young kids. Because of his size and strength, Feeny needs an experienced dog owner—someone who is calm, confident, and comfortable handling a powerful dog and providing consistent structure. In the right environment, he settles beautifully and becomes a steady, loving companion.
Feeny is healthy, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and currently covered by an active pet insurance policy. If you are an experienced dog owner looking for a loyal, intelligent, affectionate companion—and you have a single-pet household with no young children—Feeny could be an incredible match.
