er adopter will have access to ongoing training support from Amanda to help ensure Mystic continues to remain a well-rounded, balanced companion. Mystic does well with most dogs and loves to play, but she plays hard—very much like a puppy—so she needs a canine companion who can match and enjoy her rough-and-tumble play style. She has been around a cat before but becomes overstimulated, so we recommend a cat-free home. Mystic absolutely loves her people and thrives on attention and affection. She can be a little cautious with new people at first, but once she feels comfortable she warms up quickly. When she bonds with you, she is incredibly loving, playful, and affectionate. She enjoys being part of everything you do. She has been waiting far too long for her forever home, and we know her perfect family is out there. Mystic loves water—whether it’s the pool or the river—and she also enjoys hiking and outdoor adventures. Our Adoption Process: If you are interested in adopting one of our fun-loving “not-so-rotten” Rotties, we ask that you complete a questionnaire that helps us get to know you better and ensures the dog you are interested in is a good fit for your home and lifestyle. You can access our application at .rottenrottie: Click the three lines (menu) in the top right corner Scroll down to “Adopt a Rottweiler” Click “Adoption Application” Complete and submit the online formAfter reviewing your application, if we feel the dog you selected may not be the best match, we may recommend a different Rottweiler who better fits your home and lifestyle. Once we identify the best match, we will schedule a meet-and-greet at the dog’s foster home, where they are most comfortable and can show their true personality. A home check is also required to ensure a safe and suitable environment. An adoption contract will be signed to finalize the adoption. A rehoming fee is required: $500 for most adults $350 for most seniors (6+ years) Fees for puppies vary depending on medical investment, litter, and whether they are purebred or mixedThese fees go directly towards the cost of care for the Rottweilers in our rescue and help us continue rescuing and caring for Rottweilers in need. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested (negative), and go home with a collar and leash. Any known medical needs, injuries, or conditions—past or present—are fully disclosed prior to adoption. Location Policy: In most cases, we do not adopt outside of Arizona. On rare occasions, we may make exception for applicants from the Las Vegas area if we feel it is a perfect match for both the adopter and the dog. If you live in Las Vegas and are interested, you are welcome to apply for consideration.

  1. Do your research - find out what types of dogs would be a good fit for your lifestyle and the activity level of your family. Also keep in mind the grooming needs of certain breeds that might require frequent maintenance.
  2. Decide what you can handle - before you get sucked in by all the adorable puppy eyes you're about to see, think long and hard about the appropriate age dog for your family or if you are capable of caring for a special needs dog. Puppies are a lot of work, if you don't have time for potty training and obedience classes you'll want to consider an older dog. There are plenty of middle aged, vibrant dogs up for adoption as well as many senior dogs that would be a great fit for a family looking for a more subdued dog with lots of love to give.
  3. Learn about the shelters and their adoption policies - It might be easier to start looking at shelters within a certain radius of home but don't be afraid to venture out to other states as well. Many states have larger populations of adoptable dogs and their shelters are willing to transport pets to suitable adopting families. Some shelters might have requirements for a home visit, a fenced yard or require you to visit the pet multiple times before you commit to adopting. Understand that the shelters are doing their best to place the pets in suitable homes and these requirements are in the best interest of both you and the pet
  4. Start looking… - Once you know what you're looking for and what to expect you can start your search through thousands of adoptable dogs. PuppyFinder allows you to search by age, breed, location and gender.
  5. Meet in person. - Whenever possible it is best to meet the animal in person before agreeing to bring them into your life. Even though photos and descriptions can tell you a bit about a dog, you can't get a true feeling for the animal until you are able to interact with them and make sure they are a good fit for your entire family, including other pets.
