Meet the marvelous Morticia, a Chihuahua Dachshund mix! This little beauty is mostly black with a tan face, tan arms and a white chest. We just adore her fluffy tail and sweet smile! Morticia is related to Pugsley and Gomez, who is currently available for adoption. She is the proud mama of three adorable puppies named Bubbie, Ready Freddie and Trembles.
Morticia was surrendered this past fall, along with Gomez and Pugsley, and then gave birth to her three puppies in the safety and comfort of foster care. Now that her motherly duties are done, she is ready to find a home where she can rest and have a bit of fun. She is mostly tolerant of and playful with other dogs—she will roughhouse a bit, play chase, and chew on her squeaky toy before it’s time to decompress. After play time, she’ll quickly settle into your lap for cuddles on the couch. She is currently working on house training and does well in the crate.
Because Morticia has been through so many transitions (family life, puppies, foster care) she is looking for a relatively calm, low-traffic household. While she was previously raised with children, she currently finds busy environments overwhelming. For now, we believe she’d be most comfortable in a home without small children. While initially shy with new people, she’ll warm up to you within the same day once she knows you're not creepy, kooky, mysterious and spooky. She is very smart, affectionate and playful. She hopes to find a patient family who will let her approach at her own pace and show her true colors.
It’s absolutely scary how cute Morticia Adams is! Will you give her the loving home she deserves? Let her know you’re interested in meeting by filling out an application today!
Backstory: Morticia was surrendered, along with Gomez and Pugsley Adams, by a family who unfortunately needed to relocate due to health issues. She gave birth in foster care to three sweet puppies who are also looking for their fur-ever homes.
An adoption donation is required for each adoption; please see HERE for more information about this.

**Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
