His happiest moments are spent snuggled beside his person or curled up in his cozy dog bed. He loves belly rubs, being held, and soaking up affection — especially from his foster dad, whom he follows around like a devoted little shadow!
Otto has slightly impaired hearing and vision, including a cataract in his left eye, but it doesn’t slow him down or dampen his cheerful spirit. He’s very food‑motivated, loves treats, and could chew on bones all day if you let him! He’s almost fully house trained, though he still wears diapers for the occasional accident, and consistent potty breaks help him stay on track. He does wonderfully with the other dogs in his foster home and fits right in. He hasn’t met cats or kids yet, but would likely do well with calm, respectful children.
He’s not a fan of being crated and would do best in a gated area with a comfy bed when left alone. At night, he’s happy to sleep in your bed or in his own bed right beside you! Otto is a lower‑energy gentleman due to his age, but he still enjoys leisurely walks and is great on a leash. He is currently heartworm positive, and the rescue will fully cover his treatment — even if he’s adopted before it’s completed.
