and unsure of the world around him. It seemed he may not have had many life experiences before coming to us — he had likely never walked on a leash and was understandably nervous. Despite that, Rev was always incredibly gentle and kind. After just a few days of patience and kindness from staff, he began to show us his true self. Once Rev realized he was safe, everything started to change! He learned how to walk on a leash, began asking for soft pets, and even started playfully engaging with other dogs. We are so proud of the progress this little guy has made. Rev is still learning and will do best with a patient, understanding owner who can continue building his confidence through positive reinforcement and gentle guidance. While he may still be a bit shy when meeting new people, he warms up much quicker now — especially when treats and affection are involved! One thing that instantly brings Rev out of his shell is other dogs. He absolutely lights up around them! Rev is wiggly, playful, and loves to throw out adorable play bows in hopes of starting a game. He doesn’t appear to be too picky about his friends, but we are always happy to arrange a dog meet-and-greet if needed. Rev also loves being outside — whether he’s soaking up the sunshine or happily romping through the snow. While toys haven’t quite caught his interest yet, having positive outlets for his energy and continued enrichment will help him thrive. Rev is a truly special boy with so much love to give. With the right person by his side to guide him, we know he will blossom into the amazing companion he’s meant to be.
