He&rsquo;s a well- mannered gentleman; housebroken, crate trained, and is happiest just being near his people, keeping them company. Jack would do best in a fenced in yard. Before he was rescued, Jack was attacked by another dog over a nearby female in heat, and as a result needed reconstructive surgery on his eye. The surgery was a great success, and his eye is now perfectly normal and needs no further treatment or medications. Because of his attack, Jack tends to be timid around other dogs, especially at first. He is not aggressive; just a bit shy, and would do best in a calm, quiet home with adults and older children where he can feel safe and take time settling in. He would also do well with a calm companion dog. He needs a little patience and TLC. Jack loves to run around with tennis balls, and walk at the park. Jack is an affectionate, loving happy boy. He gets many compliments on his handsome looks from passersby at the park. He is great on the leash and well behaved on his walks. Jack is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccines.
