He came into rescue last year and after being in his foster home for a few weeks, he started having seizures. We don't know if this is something he has always dealt with or if it was new for him. He was a stray when rescued, so it's impossible to know his history. We have him on a seizure medication that he gets twice daily and with this medication his seizures are controlled. He has only had 1 in the last few months, and that was on a day that he was out of medicine. He has a very good quality of life as long as he has his medication. We hope someone out there can see past this and offer him a good home. Roadie is excellent with kids, other dogs, and cats. He doesn't have a mean bone in his body. He is very loving and also likes to play once he is comfortable with his surroundings. Due to his seizure disorder, we would like to find him a local adopter, to avoid the stress of transport. We fear that stress could trigger a seizure event. He is located in Benton, AR. Roadie seems to be a lab mix, but is not a big dog. He is about 45 lbs but is a bit overweight. He is SUCH a good boy and he has so much love to give. We hope his medical condition won't prevent him from finding a loving family. Our typical adoption fee for puppies younger than 6 months old is $400, and for older puppies and adults, the usual fee is $350. This includes microchip, spay/neuter, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, flea/tick treatment, and heartworm test (if over 6 months old) as well as heartworm treatment if they test positive. There is a transport fee of $150 per dog, depending on the transporter. We use Pack Leaders Rescue Dog Transport most often, but also use Hearts Transport as well on occasion.
