Be ready for a loyal shadow, because Bandito sticks right by your side wherever you go—even to the bathroom (you’ll never be alone again)! If you work from home, Bandito makes the perfect office buddy. He loves settling at the bottom of your computer chair during working hours He’s clever too—if you close the office door, he’ll politely paw to let you know he wants to join that meeting! And if other family members are home, he will take turns hanging out with each of them. Bandito enjoys walks, exploring scents, and marking his territory (typical male dog). When his collar or leash is picked up his excitement overpowers him because he realizes it means he will be doing something fun such as a walk or car ride. He prefers to sleep in your bed so he can stay close to you. Bandito’s desire for companionship shines through in everything he does, making him a true cuddle buddy who will always want to be near his favorite humans. When visitors arrive, Bandito will bark enthusiastically to guard his loved ones, demonstrating his protective nature. However, he quickly warms up once greeted, showing that he’s simply looking out for his family and is eager to make new friends. Bandito is a smart pup and knows basic commands like “sit” and “stay,” making him easy to integrate into your home and daily routine. He loves people and enjoys laying at the feet or beside ones that are sitting down. He will be calm if the person is calm. He really likes food so if he sees a treat he wants to claim it as his. Bandito enjoys playing with other dogs, showing his friendly temperament toward canine companions. He will be comfortable living as an only dog or with dog companions. According to his foster family, Bandito would thrive in a household with other dogs as long as he still receives plenty of attention. Bandito is potty trained and enjoys going potties outside. He has had occasional accidents inside the house because of being left too long (more than seven hours) without access to the area where he knows he is supposed to go to the bathroom. More than anything, Bandito wants to be close to his humans. While he may whine when his family leaves, he quickly settles down and patiently waits for their return. Bandito came into the 4 Lucky Dogs Rescue after his first owner passed away. His second owner was in and out of the hospital and finally had to go into assisted living. If you’re looking for a devoted, loving couch potato companion to share your home and heart, Bandito is ready to fill your life with joy, snuggles, and tail wags. Bandito’s adoption fee is $515. This dog comes microchipped, up to date on all necessary vaccines/rabies shots, heartworm tested, and neutered. He is currently being fostered in the Plant City/Valrico area. The average lifespan for this small breed is 16 years.
