long sunbathing sessions, and sitting quietly to listen to the birds are her idea of a perfect day. She hasn’t met a person or animal she doesn’t like—she’s gentle, social, and happy to share her space with just about anyone.
We are currently waiting on the results of her senior blood panel to make sure she’s healthy inside and out. Once those come in, we’ll have a full picture of her medical needs moving forward.
As a senior gal, Artemisia is looking for a calm home where she won’t be bumped into or jumped on. She still has some pep in her step, but she prefers a peaceful environment where she can move at her own pace. And while she’s sweet as sugar, don’t be fooled—when food is around, she’ll tell you exactly what she wants. Ignore her at your own risk, because that classic Jack Russell bark will make an appearance.
If you’re looking for a kind, easygoing companion with a little sass and a lot of heart, Artemisia is ready to bring her sunshine to your home.
Artemisia's adoption fee is $150, which helps support their medical care and preparation for adoption. If you are interested in meeting any of our animals, we encourage you to first visit our website and submit an adoption application: .acskc/adopt-1
Once your adoption application has been approved, we will call you to set up an appointment to meet with the pet! We welcome adopters from out of state to apply!
