stem alongside her buddy Ross (who we believe is her brother and is also available for adoption), and it’s clear she finds comfort in canine companionship. Rachel is about a year old and is a Labrador mix. She can be a little shy at first, but once she feels safe, her sweet and gentle nature truly shines. During her time at the shelter, Rachel was selected for the Ironwood Prison Training Program, where she spent two months building a strong foundation and working closely with her handlers. She quickly caught the eye of an adopter—but sadly, she was returned less than 24 hours later, through no fault of her own. Rachel would thrive in an active, adventurous home that will continue her training and keep her mentally and physically engaged. She does well with other dogs, enjoys the company of adults, and would do best in a home with older children as she can be a bit jumpy. More than anything, Rachel is ready for a home where she can feel safe, be truly adored, and finally start living the happy life she deserves.
