She’s a very laid back, mellow girl who enjoys the simple things in life… cuddles, calm company, and being close to her people. She seeks out affection and would happily spend her days snuggled up right beside you. This gentle girl does great with other dogs and has lived with another dog before. She’s the kind of patient soul who will even put up with those young whippersnapper pups without losing her cool. She’s easygoing, tolerant, and just happy to coexist peacefully. Sweet Potato walks beautifully on leash, does great in her kennel, and is past all the puppy chaos like shoe chewing. She’s a mature, well mannered girl who already knows how to be the perfect companion. She has some interest in treats and will happily accept snacks, because every Sweet Potato deserves a little extra butter… I mean love. Found as an unclaimed stray, she somehow ended up in a loud, busy shelter when she truly belongs in a warm, cozy home. She deserves a quiet place to rest, a family to love her, and a soft spot to call her own. If you’re looking for a calm, loving, and loyal companion with a heart as warm as a freshly baked sweet potato, she’s ready to be your girl. They were rescued from a kill shelter in New Mexico. Approved Applicants may make the adoption fee payment by clicking donate above. Partial adoption fees will not hold a dog. If upon meeting the dog of your choosing at your scheduled pickup time you find that you aren't a good match, your deposit will be fully refunded. Adoption fees include vaccines up until time of adoption, microchip, spay/neuter and 1st 30 days of free pet insurance. We are not affiliated with MetLife pet insurance. (you have to sign up for the insurance or it will not go into effect). Adoption fees help cover the medical care of the animals while he or she waits for a new home, as well as food and transportation costs. These fees help to provide care for the other animals in the shelter or rescue group who may have medical bills that are much higher than any possible adoption fee. The money also acts as a donation to help support the organization as a whole, allowing the group to continue its efforts to rescue and rehome pets. The dogs in our care are fostered in Colorado, Texas, and New Mexico. While all dogs are picked up during our scheduled times, sometimes transport dates change due to unforeseen circumstances.
