She feels the same way about dog-friendly cats and even has a tiny kitten buddy in her foster home. Sammi Lu has bonded well with her foster. She likes to sit with her on the couch and cuddle in bed. She gives gentle kisses and is happy to get pets and belly rubs. Sammi Lu does best in a quieter environment. She may bark at guests and prefers to tuck herself away under a table. Sammi Lu has been working on leash walking. She may freeze up a bit when encountering something new (a good fitting collar or harness is a must), but she isn't the type to be pulling you along. She has shown good recall when coming in from her foster's fenced backyard; she prefers to have you out there with her because she would happily sunbathe with company. I try to let her do things at her own pace and not force things and it has paid off. She is my little shadow and really affectionate to me. She will dance on her hindlegs when I come home. She loves to play with toys and even does well on car rides. She is working on house-training. Obviously does better on a schedule and will use a pee pad overnight. I crate her when away from home because she is still a puppy, although her 'naughty' behavior is mostly stealing a tissue from the box and shredding it."
