Luke is deeply people-oriented and happiest near someone he trusts. He is a true âVelcro dogâ who wants companionship, connection, and the reassurance of having his person nearby. He would much rather be with people or in the company of a compatible larger dog, than be left alone for long periods.
He can still be cautious in unfamiliar environments, but he is far more confident than he once was. He may need a little time to adjust to new people, places, and routines, but once he feels safe, his affectionate and devoted personality shines. He responds best to calm handling, structure, positive reinforcement, and someone who will continue building on his progress.
Although Luke is a Belgian Malinois, he is not looking for nonstop activity. He needs a healthy balance of exercise, mental stimulation, structure, affection, and quiet time beside his person. More than anything, he wants to be included in everyday life.
Lukeâs ideal adopter will be patient, confident, and committed to continuing his training. Experience with intelligent or sensitive working breeds would be helpful. A calm home, dependable routine, positive leadership, and plenty of companionship will help him continue to thrive.
