up every day ready to play, explore, and love his people with everything he’s got. He has the kind of eyes that look at you like you hung the moon, and once you meet him, it’s pretty hard not to fall for him. Marley isn’t much of a couch potato—he’s much more interested in adventures, toys, and finding his next great game. He absolutely thrives around other playful dogs and really came out of his shell once he had a canine buddy who matched his energy level. A home with another fun-loving dog would likely be his dream come true. He loves chewing on bones, shares his toys nicely, and thankfully isn’t destructive. Fetch, however, remains a mystery to him. Why chase the ball when you can simply admire it from where you’re standing? Marley is working hard on his leash manners and gets a little better every day. Car rides are either his specialty or an opportunity to request emotional support pets from his humans. At the vet he started out nervous but quickly showed everyone what a sweet, loving boy he really is. Like many puppies, Marley hasn’t quite discovered his indoor voice yet! He’s a happy little chatterbox who likes to let everyone know what’s on his mind, whether he’s waiting in his kennel or riding in the car. Because Marley enjoys sharing his “songs,” he’d be happiest in a home rather than an apartment—somewhere the acoustics are a little more forgiving and the neighbors can appreciate his performances from a comfortable distance! As he continues to grow up, we expect this adorable puppy quirk to mature right along with him. This handsome guy does well with cats, would likely do great with children who understand puppy manners, and is nearly potty trained. He sleeps wonderfully in his kennel, goes to the door when reminded, and only has the occasional excited puppy accident. One of the best surprises about Marley? Underneath all that puppy energy is a boy who can settle beautifully. On a recent patio outing, he calmly chewed his bone, relaxed beside his people, and simply enjoyed being part of the adventure. Marley is smart, affectionate, playful, and full of life. He doesn’t just want a family—he wants a best friend, a playmate, and someone to share all of life’s adventures with. If you’re looking for a fun little sidekick with a heart of gold, Marley may just be your perfect match. The suggested adoption fee for Marley is $465. Bullies-N-Beyond ResQ Inc. is a 501(c)3, non-profit corporation that is 100% volunteer operated. Adoption donation fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals. All dogs adopted through BNBR will have been administered their age appropriate vaccines which may include DHPP, Rabies, Lepto and Bordetella. All dogs will also be adopted out as already altered if of age, for those not of age, a voucher will be provided. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver. BNBR does not adopt on a first serve basis. All available dogs are adopted based on their needs to provide the best fit home.

  1. Do your research - find out what types of dogs would be a good fit for your lifestyle and the activity level of your family. Also keep in mind the grooming needs of certain breeds that might require frequent maintenance.
  2. Decide what you can handle - before you get sucked in by all the adorable puppy eyes you're about to see, think long and hard about the appropriate age dog for your family or if you are capable of caring for a special needs dog. Puppies are a lot of work, if you don't have time for potty training and obedience classes you'll want to consider an older dog. There are plenty of middle aged, vibrant dogs up for adoption as well as many senior dogs that would be a great fit for a family looking for a more subdued dog with lots of love to give.
  3. Learn about the shelters and their adoption policies - It might be easier to start looking at shelters within a certain radius of home but don't be afraid to venture out to other states as well. Many states have larger populations of adoptable dogs and their shelters are willing to transport pets to suitable adopting families. Some shelters might have requirements for a home visit, a fenced yard or require you to visit the pet multiple times before you commit to adopting. Understand that the shelters are doing their best to place the pets in suitable homes and these requirements are in the best interest of both you and the pet
  4. Start looking… - Once you know what you're looking for and what to expect you can start your search through thousands of adoptable dogs. PuppyFinder allows you to search by age, breed, location and gender.
  5. Meet in person. - Whenever possible it is best to meet the animal in person before agreeing to bring them into your life. Even though photos and descriptions can tell you a bit about a dog, you can't get a true feeling for the animal until you are able to interact with them and make sure they are a good fit for your entire family, including other pets.
