Named for her busy nature and constant forward motion, Inertia spent much of her puppyhood (~ 2–5 months old) living in a small shelter kennel. Despite that challenging start, she's grown into a resilient, thoughtful girl who wants to learn about the world and bond with her people.
Inertia is happiest when she's included in life's adventures. She's curious, observant, and likes to take in new experiences at her own pace. Give her a little time to study something new, and she'll surprise you with her willingness to try.
A confident canine friend could help show her the ropes, but she's also deeply connected to her humans. Once she finally slows down, she's happy to lean against you for affection—cuddly without being clingy.
Her friends describe her as a "portable bro dog": the perfect size for patio hangs, brewery visits, road trips, hikes, and whatever adventure comes next.
Inertia's Strengths
High food drive — Her love language is snacks.
Eager to learn — Training is one of her favorite ways to connect.
Generally quiet — Short and to the point.
Gets along well with dogs, cats, and kids.

Learning self-regulation — She believes wrestling is the greatest sport ever invented and usually needs a referee.
Sandbox engineer — Likes a designated digging zone for excavation projects.
Leash studies are ongoing — She's still figuring out this whole "walking politely with a human" thing.
Seeking patient adopter ready for a whole lot of joy in a compact package. Someone who appreciates a dog with curiosity, personality, and a desire to connect, and who will let her experience new things at her own pace.
Because with Inertia, the hardest part isn't getting her moving. It's keeping up.

This adorable little menace has officially joined the MAD family.
Inertia is about 4 months old and located in NM, where she is currently keeping everyone entertained with her nonstop puppy antics.
She’s equal parts brave, curious, sweet, and completely unhinged puppy energy. One minute she’s cuddling, the next she’s parkouring off furniture like she’s training for the Puppy Olympics.
Found alone in the desert as a tiny pup, she’s already proven she’s tough. Now she gets to learn what safety, fun, and being spoiled rotten feels like.
She’s gorgeous. She’s wild. She has absolutely no business being this cute.
We have a feeling this girl is going to keep her foster on their toes 24/7… and honestly, we wouldn’t want it any other way.

We are an official 501c3 organization that does not have a physical location. Our home address is in Michigan, however, the majority of our dogs are not located in Michigan. The physical location of each our our dogs is posted with the name of the pet or in the title area. If you are within 4 hours of the pet, please be prepared to pick the pet up. We do provide transport assistance up to 350 miles. The applicant must drive the remainder of the distance of the transport.
The basic information that we have available is in our posting, but sometimes fosters will post updates on the MAD Rescue Facebook page as well, .facebook/groups/malinoisanddutchshepherdrescueinc.
