He loves romping around the yard, playing with dogs much bigger than he is, and investigating everything that catches his attention. When he's all worn out from playtime, he's perfectly content to grab a toy, settle down nearby, or stretch out at your feet for a well-earned break. Dillon is a people-oriented little guy who enjoys keeping tabs on his humans. Whether you're working in the yard, moving around the house, or simply relaxing, he'll happily follow along to see what you're up to. He likes being part of the action and enjoys spending time with his people. Like any young puppy, Dillon is still learning routines and developing good habits. He's been making progress with sleeping for longer stretches and continues to grow more confident every day. He's very food motivated, which makes training fun and rewarding, but he's surprisingly polite about mealtime and isn't one to inhale his food. In fact, he sometimes prefers to lay down and enjoy his meal at a leisurely pace. Dillon loves toys, chews, and pretty much anything that can keep a puppy entertained. He has a habit of gathering his treasures into his favorite area of the yard, creating his own little collection of prized possessions. He can be vocal at times, but he responds well to correction and is eager to learn what is expected of him. With his sweet personality, playful spirit, and love of both people and dogs, Dillon is everything people love about puppies. He's looking for a family ready to help him continue learning, growing, and discovering all the fun life has to offer. They were rescued from a high kill shelter in Texas. Approved Applicants may make the adoption fee payment by clicking donate above. Partial adoption fees will not hold a dog. If upon meeting the dog of your choosing at your scheduled pickup time you find that you aren't a good match, your deposit will be fully refunded. Adoption fees include vaccines up until time of adoption, microchip, spay/neuter and 1st 30 days of free pet insurance. We are not affiliated with MetLife pet insurance. (you have to sign up for the insurance or it will not go into effect). Adoption fees help cover the medical care of the animals while he or she waits for a new home, as well as food and transportation costs. These fees help to provide care for the other animals in the shelter or rescue group who may have medical bills that are much higher than any possible adoption fee. The money also acts as a donation to help support the organization as a whole, allowing the group to continue its efforts to rescue and rehome pets. The dogs in our care are fostered in Colorado, Texas, and New Mexico. While all dogs are picked up during our scheduled times, sometimes transport dates change due to unforeseen circumstances.
