ail? Let me introduce you to WInston, a happy boy looking for all the snuggles and full body rubs you’re willing to give. This sweet, affectionate Great Dane is looking for his furever home. Winston is a smart boy and learns quickly, even without training treats, although he’s not going to turn one down if one happens to be in your hand. He’s great with women, but like most of us on a first date, needs a little bit of time to warm up to strange men. Give him some space and he does fine. He loves to run and play with other dogs but will happily entertain himself with his toys. Like me after work, he has an average to moderate energy level but is quick to calm down when the couch is available. Winston: Rides nicely in the car Working on leash skills Making great progress with housetraining Great in the crate Fine with cats that dog experienced Does great with other children Winston submits to an assertive dog without any issue but has been known to pick on a more submissive/shy dog. He currently lives with a cat and is curious of the furry creatures. If the cat isn’t dog savvy and runs around wildly, the dog will chase said cat until corrected. In his perfect home, he would be an only dog but would be fine with an assertive dog (male or female). Winston is too smart for his own good and will try to run the show if he’s not given consistent direction. He needs to know who is in charge and won’t challenge you for the alpha role but he’ll totally run you over if you’re soft with him. Winston needs someone who will continue his training and give him an outlet for his energy. He would be excellent in agility or as a rally dog since he’s got a good prey drive. He’s a fast learner and loves to please you. The sky is the limit for what he can do. Give him a job to do and he’ll be the most amazing dog ever.
