Meet Ruckus! Ruckus is a 12-year-old, 10-pound Toy Poodle with a heart as big as his personality. After his owner passed away, he found himself in the shelter through no fault of his own. Despite that difficult transition, Ruckus has remained incredibly sweet, loving, and eager to bond with his people. Ruckus is the definition of a companion dog. He loves being around his humans and hasn't met a person he doesn't like. Whether you're relaxing on the couch, running errands, or getting ready for bed, Ruckus just wants to be by your side. He's a wonderful cuddle buddy, sleeps through the night, and has been very well behaved when accompanying his foster on outings. He's also a smart little guy who already knows the commands sit, lay down, and stay. He is potty trained, walks nicely on a leash, and has low-medium exercise needs, making him an excellent match for someone looking for an easygoing companion. While he is currently the only dog in his foster home, he has done well with other dogs he has met. He has had limited exposure to children, but all interactions have been positive. His experience with cats is unknown. Because Ruckus loves his people so much, he does experience some separation anxiety and will bark when left home alone. He has never been destructive, but he would be happiest in a home where someone is around most of the time, such as a retiree, someone who works from home, or a family that can include him in their daily activities. He truly enjoys tagging along and is a wonderful little sidekick. Ruckus has so much love to give and is looking for someone who wants a loyal, devoted best friend. If you're looking for a gentle senior who will happily keep you company wherever life takes you, Ruckus may be the perfect addition to your family! His adoption fee is $200.
