Looking for a loyal sidekick with a heart of gold? Meet Austin! This handsome 1-year-old, 50-pound Belgian Malinois mix is as sweet as they come. Austin has a happy, easygoing personality and gets along wonderfully with everyone he meets, making him an excellent companion for just about any family.
Austin is housebroken with the use of the dog door and is doing great with his kennel training. He's also making excellent progress on leash walking and enjoys getting out to explore the world with his people.
While Austin has the intelligence and athleticism of a Malinois mix, his gentle, friendly nature makes him a wonderful fit for a variety of homes. Whether you're looking for a walking buddy, a playmate for another dog, or a faithful companion to share your days, Austin is ready to fill that role with enthusiasm and love.

Please understand you are committing to providing a good home for his entire life (up to 15+ years or more.)
You must be committed to housebreaking, age-appropriate enrichment and exercise, leash training, grooming needs, and positive socialization.
His adoption fee is $250. This includes his neuter surgery, rabies vaccination, Nobivac® Canine 1-DAPP vaccination, Nobivac® Intra-Trac 3 vaccination, Drontal® Plus, IDEXX SNAP® 4Dx Plus Test, Tri-Heart® Plus chewable tablet, 24PetWatch® microchip, and leash and collar.
Please be aware that puppies and small breed dogs do get adopted quickly so interested parties are encouraged to apply online at .saspca.

Our adoption events are held every other Saturday at Petco located in the Northwoods Shopping Center at 18138 San Pedro Ave, San Antonio TX 78232. Event hours are 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

SASPCA Homeward Bound Dog Rescue and San Antonio Great Dane Rescue are 501(c)(3) foster-based rescue groups based in San Antonio, Texas.
Our group focuses on assisting open admission shelters in South Texas where over 32,000 dogs and cats are euthanized each year.
Our puppies and dogs are completely vetted and live in foster homes. They are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and tested for heartworm disease.
All adoptions include one month of flea and heartworm preventative and a leash and collar.

If your adoption application is approved and you are traveling from out-of-town, we hold your chosen pet for one hour past the event start time to allow for travel time.
We are an all-volunteer organization and do not currently have the resources to process out-of-state adoptions.
Our puppies, purebred dogs, and small breed dogs do get adopted quickly so we encourage interested parties to apply online.
