nd an even bigger heart! I love spending time with people, making new dog friends, and turning every day into an adventure. Whether we're going for a walk, playing fetch, or just hanging out together, I'm happiest when I'm with my favorite humans. One thing you should know about me is that I recently went through a traumatic tail amputation. It was a tough experience, but I'm recovering beautifully and feeling great! It doesn't slow me down or stop me from enjoying life. In fact, I've bounced back with the same joyful spirit and loving personality I've always had. Even after everything I've been through, I still trust people completely. I love affection, enjoy being part of the family, and I'm always ready to share kisses, cuddles, and my goofy smile. I also get along well with other dogs and would love a canine sibling to play with, although I'd be just as happy soaking up all the attention as your one-and-only. My ideal home is one where I can be included in everyday life, get plenty of playtime and exercise, and, of course, enjoy lots of love. In return, I promise to fill your home with laughter, loyalty, and unconditional love. My tail may be shorter, but my heart is as big as ever. If you're looking for a resilient, affectionate, fun-loving companion who's ready for a fresh start, I just might be your perfect match. Love, Miss Minnie All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application. We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information. We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. If you are outside of this radius, we encourage you to contact your local rescue or shelter.

  1. Do your research - find out what types of dogs would be a good fit for your lifestyle and the activity level of your family. Also keep in mind the grooming needs of certain breeds that might require frequent maintenance.
  2. Decide what you can handle - before you get sucked in by all the adorable puppy eyes you're about to see, think long and hard about the appropriate age dog for your family or if you are capable of caring for a special needs dog. Puppies are a lot of work, if you don't have time for potty training and obedience classes you'll want to consider an older dog. There are plenty of middle aged, vibrant dogs up for adoption as well as many senior dogs that would be a great fit for a family looking for a more subdued dog with lots of love to give.
  3. Learn about the shelters and their adoption policies - It might be easier to start looking at shelters within a certain radius of home but don't be afraid to venture out to other states as well. Many states have larger populations of adoptable dogs and their shelters are willing to transport pets to suitable adopting families. Some shelters might have requirements for a home visit, a fenced yard or require you to visit the pet multiple times before you commit to adopting. Understand that the shelters are doing their best to place the pets in suitable homes and these requirements are in the best interest of both you and the pet
  4. Start looking… - Once you know what you're looking for and what to expect you can start your search through thousands of adoptable dogs. PuppyFinder allows you to search by age, breed, location and gender.
  5. Meet in person. - Whenever possible it is best to meet the animal in person before agreeing to bring them into your life. Even though photos and descriptions can tell you a bit about a dog, you can't get a true feeling for the animal until you are able to interact with them and make sure they are a good fit for your entire family, including other pets.
