At around 7 years old (or maybe a little wiser), this handsome Malinois mix believes it's his civic duty to know what everyone is doing at all times. Going to fill the water bowl? He's coming. Walking to the other side of the yard? He'll escort you. Talking to someone across the room? He'd like to attend that meeting too. He's not being nosy... Okay, he's absolutely being nosy. But there's another reason he follows people wherever they go. Not long ago, Nipsey had a family. They loved him, but life changed, and they could no longer care for him. Now he's being moved from kennel to kennel, room to room, surrounded by strangers. Somewhere along the way, he lost track of who "his people" are. So now he quietly follows anyone who's kind enough to give him a glance, hoping maybe... just maybe... they're his next person. Despite everything that's changed, Nipsey hasn't lost his sweet spirit. Shelter staff describe him as an incredibly gentle, curious old soul who simply wants to be included. He hasn't shown reactivity toward people or other dogs—just genuine curiosity about the world around him. He's also highly food motivated, which is excellent news if you've ever dreamed of having someone who thinks you're the greatest chef on Earth for handing out a piece of kibble. Toys? He'd rather pass. At this stage in life, he'd much rather collect snacks, investigate whatever you're doing, and enjoy the simple things that come with finally feeling safe again. Dogs like Nipsey break your heart in the quietest way. He's not asking for adventures every weekend. He's not asking to be the center of attention. He's just looking for someone to follow home. Nipsey deserves more than the echo of a shelter kennel. He deserves another couch, another family, another chance to spend his golden years knowing exactly who his people are.
