Meet Miss Aunt Granny Fraggle!
Aunt Granny is fostered in the SF Bay Area of CA and is available to any qualified adopters who are willing to travel to us to adopt and she is also available to FLEXIBLE adopters who are willing to meet her at a major airport with the understanding that she will be transported STANDBY by a volunteer airline employee on a flight they donated (along with their time) thanks to our friends at Delta Air Lines
Aunt Granny is a 16 yr old, 15 lb Rat Terrier Mix SPAYED FEMALE who joins us from San Jose Animal Care Center where she was treated by Tails of a Shelter Vet and transported to us via the volunteers of San Jose Animal Advocates
Aunt Granny is also vaccinated, microchipped, free of parasites and has had senior labwork and a dental cleaning with extractions.
She is VERY healthy for her age and all she requires is a senior-specific food and a very cheap medication for her arthritis ($50/year). We are feeding her FirstMate Pet Foods Senior Formula which can be purchased at Pet Food Express or from Chewy. She is a tad hard-of-hearing but makes up for it in sweetness.
Aunt Granny is unassuming and sweet. She just wants a warm bed and a soft pet and food and snuggles. She is fine with other animals and would be fine with gentle children. She walks well, albeit slowly, on a leash. She is fine in a crate. She appears to be housebroken.
To adopt Aunt Granny, please send a detailed email to beourpetgmail
If you cannot adopt, please spread her sweet face around and please consider making a tax-deductible donation to help us with her care at .paypal.me/UOH or Venmo umbrellaof-hoperescue

Umbrella of Hope does not have any strict rules on ages of children because all children are different, but our best approximation is that this animal would do best with children over the age of 5
Umbrella of Hope is a non-profit animal rescue based out of Pittsburg, CA that rescues animals off death row from local shelters. We offer rebates of adoption fees after completion of obedience classes and CGC titles.
Also, ask us about our seniors for seniors program, where we adopt animals 5 years or older to qualified homes with a $5 donation as an adoption fee. All animals are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, treated for parasites and given any additional treatments (dental work, bloodwork etc) as recommended by our vet. Some of our senior animals have sponsorships for their food/vet care/medicine for the rest of their life at our vet in Pittsburg, CA (94565)
Adoptions to veterans of the US Armed Services are ALWAYS free to thank you for your service. Other retired public servants, please let us know what career you retired from and we can let you know if we offer any discounts for your adoption
