fabulous as her name would imply. She is a stunning one of a kind girl with a sweeter then sugar personality. She will be a show stopper every where she goes. She is a stunning young saint Bernard girl. She has short hair, except for her ears and tail. She also has a rare blue/dilute coat. Which makes her stand out in a crowd and gets her noticed. She is a big girl and growing fast. She is a great girl and we know that she will find an amazing home. She is going to be a wonderful dog for a home who is looking for a real gem of a dog. She is one in a million! She is getting sweeter every day as she matures she just keeps getting better and better. She has an amazing personality and we know she will find an amazing home. She has the most darling face and sweet personality. Cher came to us from a high kill shelter. She had been turned in by her family who bought her from a breeder. They had her since she was little and ended up having to move. They did not plan on taking her with them, and started looking for a home for her to late.Which is common that people will wait till the last minute to find their fur friend a family, and the end up at the shelter. It was no fault of her own. She is a gem. She was then put in the shelter where she was being evaluated for adoption but was so sad and scared in a shelter that they were worried it was going to make her fearful. So we offered help. We are glad that they did as she is a gem and is thriving in her foster home. She is a great girl who just needed a great home and a family that loves her. Cher is a doll. She is really one of a kind. She is stunning, sweet and smart. Which is a rare mix in a dog. She is a sweet girl who is still very much a lazy puppy with a heart of gold. She is a playful girl who is still learning how to play with toys and have a good time. She loves attention and can be a bit of a puppy so she can be a bit over excited with new people. She is learning not to jump on people and really does learn fast once she understands what you want. She does well with people, dogs, and kids. We have not spent much time with cats but she did seem to ignore them. We always suggest to introduce any dogs slowly to other pets. She was scared of new dogs at first, we feel that she had not been around many. She is a great girl and we know that she will find an amazing home. She is a lazy laid back girl, but still a puppy who is looking for a good time. She can be a bit much for little kids so please be aware even though she does well with them she may knock them over when she is excited. She is a gem and we adore her. Cher is up to date, dewormed, flea treated, altered, and ready for a new home. She is working on house breaking, crate training, and basic commands. She came to us knowing nothing but has learned so fast. She is great with people but needs to have a family that understands she is a big girl and growing fast. And still has a lot of growing and happy days to come. She is a great girl. She has so much to learn and have a good time at the same time. She is an amazing girl who just needs a great home, and a family willing to be as enamored with her as we are. She is a happy healthy girl who we just cant get enough of her smooshy face. We spend a lot of time trying to get to know the dogs in our program as best as we can. This means that we have spent time introducing them to dogs, cats, kids, animals, people and as many things as we can. We try to do as much as we can to evaluate them, both with in our group and if the dogs come from other rescues or shelters their evaluations as well. However dogs are individuals and will react to different situations differently. This means that we do not know how a dog will react in every situation. We give out our best guess based off information provided but the handler of a dog and the way they are introduced to a situation makes a huge impact. So if you have any questions of how to introduce a dog to your home, please let us know and we will provide as much info as we can from pamphlets to helping find a trainer in your area. Our rescue aims to help dogs who are passed by and over looked by most rescues and people. We help the dogs who are in need of medical care, vetting, training and breeds that most will not help with. In most shelters if you are large dog, a big dog, or a male dog; from the moment you walk in you are on barrowed time. If you have docked ears or are a guardian breed your time was over before you walked in the doors. We aim to save these dogs and give them a second chance. Please help us save more lives by helping with our medical bills as they grow. This year has already been hard and we have many medical dogs in need. https://www.gofundme.com/v2eap2f8 If you would like to adopt this pet please send us an email. Applications will be sent to you via email. We do our best to get back to emails in 24 hrs. If it has been longer then that please resend another email. We would love to hear from you. We welcome any questions that you may have. Our goal is to find the right fit for every home, not just any home! We have been informed that some of the links to email us regarding our adoptable dogs are not working. This has been on going for a few weeks with petfinder and a few other links. If you find this to be an issue that you are having please send an email directly to us at: RisingPhoenixWa@aol.com If you are inquiring on a specific pet we do ask that you put the name of the pet in the subject line. So we know who it is that you are inquiring regarding. Thank you in advance for understanding as we work through this. As with any rescue we are always in need of donations. MANY of our dogs come in with special needs or medical issues. These need to be resolved before going home. If you would like to make a donation toward a dogs medical care you can use our paypal address RisingPhoenixWa@aol.com you can also email us for a physical address. We are always in need of dog food, soft food for some of our special needs dogs, collars, leashes, crates, and toys!

  1. Do your research - find out what types of dogs would be a good fit for your lifestyle and the activity level of your family. Also keep in mind the grooming needs of certain breeds that might require frequent maintenance.
  2. Decide what you can handle - before you get sucked in by all the adorable puppy eyes you're about to see, think long and hard about the appropriate age dog for your family or if you are capable of caring for a special needs dog. Puppies are a lot of work, if you don't have time for potty training and obedience classes you'll want to consider an older dog. There are plenty of middle aged, vibrant dogs up for adoption as well as many senior dogs that would be a great fit for a family looking for a more subdued dog with lots of love to give.
  3. Learn about the shelters and their adoption policies - It might be easier to start looking at shelters within a certain radius of home but don't be afraid to venture out to other states as well. Many states have larger populations of adoptable dogs and their shelters are willing to transport pets to suitable adopting families. Some shelters might have requirements for a home visit, a fenced yard or require you to visit the pet multiple times before you commit to adopting. Understand that the shelters are doing their best to place the pets in suitable homes and these requirements are in the best interest of both you and the pet
  4. Start looking… - Once you know what you're looking for and what to expect you can start your search through thousands of adoptable dogs. PuppyFinder allows you to search by age, breed, location and gender.
  5. Meet in person. - Whenever possible it is best to meet the animal in person before agreeing to bring them into your life. Even though photos and descriptions can tell you a bit about a dog, you can't get a true feeling for the animal until you are able to interact with them and make sure they are a good fit for your entire family, including other pets.
