;#39;t missing any Huskies from the NC sanctuary. Nope! Our guys are all accounted for. But this stunner was picked up running down the road very close by. The shelter contacted Luke's owner who surrendered him, along with Roxy to the shelter. So we went and got them both and they're now part of the H-E-A-R-T program. Luke is young, approximately 10-12 months old, absolutely gorgeous long haired red, bi-eyed fella with a fabulous disposition. And oh my, that waterfall tail of his! He loves playing with the other Huskies, but seems to gravitate to the females. (If you don't have other dogs in the home, consider adopting him and Roxy too! But they are not bonded so it is okay to adopt them separately.) Luke will need a family who can exercise him properly, has other playful dogs in the home and who has a fenced yard. We would recommend a home without small children since he's still learning manners. We do not know if he's cat friendly. This gorgeous guy is neutered, heartworm negative and current on his vaccines. He is being fostered in NC but is available for adoption in CT, NY, NY, PA, DE, MD, VA, NC, SC. We do not have a facility in which you can visit. We find this a huge benefit because we learn our dogs and are able to educate our adopters on what it’s like to have them live in your home.
