Adoption Donation $ 385 Location/Fostered: in AR (Transport costs are included, please ask for more details) Age: 2 years All pups over 5 months will be altered prior to transport, puppies under 5 months old will receive a FOA voucher: https://www.friendsofanimals.org Greetings everyone, My name is Queen Bee and I am the sweetest girl you have ever met. Back in October I was picked up as a stray in my town very pregnant. No one knew where I came from or who owned me. All which was known for sure was I was very pregnant and ready any day to have my babies. So when I was taken to the shelter, I was given the nicest kennel run and soft, warm blankets. Sure enough, 2 days after arriving there, I had 10 babies. They were all so little and cute. After my babies were born, one week later , we were moved into a rescue group to take care of me and my babies. For they were worried about my health and the health of my babies. One day I heard the ladies at the shelter talking to my foster mom about me and where they thought I had come from. This surprised me greatly. The ladies said I came from an area of town where it is known to have people who breed expensive dogs in their backyard to sell the puppies. Every time the momma dogs come into heat, they become pregnant again to have another litter. This is but a worry of the past. For today I live in a wonderful rescue and am being spayed next week. I am very healthy and never weighed this much before. My doctor said the weight is good on me. I am happy, healthy and have puppies running all around me just as happy as could be. I am house trained, love car rides, a typical bully on a leash and want to walk you. I adore being loved and giving you lovings. I am a dog friendly girl and have not been around cats yet. I am ready to start my journey home. Please fill out an application and submit a deposit. I want to sit by the fire with you, cuddle on the bed and hear bedtime stories. Please email for more information on this dog: glennandcarla@g5i.net This dog is NOT offered for adoption by Friends of Homeless Animals (FOHA) but an Arkansas rescue partner. 1. Do your research - find out what types of dogs would be a good fit for your lifestyle and the activity level of your family. Also keep in mind the grooming needs of certain breeds that might require frequent maintenance.
  2. Decide what you can handle - before you get sucked in by all the adorable puppy eyes you're about to see, think long and hard about the appropriate age dog for your family or if you are capable of caring for a special needs dog. Puppies are a lot of work, if you don't have time for potty training and obedience classes you'll want to consider an older dog. There are plenty of middle aged, vibrant dogs up for adoption as well as many senior dogs that would be a great fit for a family looking for a more subdued dog with lots of love to give.
  3. Learn about the shelters and their adoption policies - It might be easier to start looking at shelters within a certain radius of home but don't be afraid to venture out to other states as well. Many states have larger populations of adoptable dogs and their shelters are willing to transport pets to suitable adopting families. Some shelters might have requirements for a home visit, a fenced yard or require you to visit the pet multiple times before you commit to adopting. Understand that the shelters are doing their best to place the pets in suitable homes and these requirements are in the best interest of both you and the pet
  4. Start looking… - Once you know what you're looking for and what to expect you can start your search through thousands of adoptable dogs. PuppyFinder allows you to search by age, breed, location and gender.
  5. Meet in person. - Whenever possible it is best to meet the animal in person before agreeing to bring them into your life. Even though photos and descriptions can tell you a bit about a dog, you can't get a true feeling for the animal until you are able to interact with them and make sure they are a good fit for your entire family, including other pets.
