One of the crazies is a 3 year old boy that "hugs" him each time he sees him, uses him as a pillow to watch movies and gets in his face since they are eye to eye often. Then we have to mention the 10 year old girl who likes to walk him around the neighborhood and show off his good looks and lock him in her room so she can dress him up. Finally there is the 11 year old who thinks Tango should just suit up in wrestling gear because that is all these two do! Oh, but we can't forget the foster mom who takes him for 5 am runs ranging anywhere between 3-9 miles. Call it what you want - life or ease or an avalanche of chaos. Either way he would fit in both environments nicely. Whether he has gone for a run or slept in he is going to lay around the house most of the day. No crate is need while he lounges, he has not damaged a thing or done any counter surfing during his year stay with his foster family. However he is crate trained if you prefer that, but he pouts when you tell him to go to his kennel. Tango came into foster care with his brother (a domineering boy who liked to hog all the attention). Therefore his confidence was very low. He has improved tremendously, however, he is very slow to warm up to other dogs. Not to say he won't. He has become best friends with his labrodoodle foster brother. They love to play tug of war. Tango can possess this timid behavior with other things as well (i.e. strangers, tile floors, sprinklers, and loud cars passing while on a walk/run. Keep in mind how rewarding it is to see your family members overcome these difficulties and earn trust in you and his new environment. Congenial follicular keratosis, try saying that three times fast! Congenial follicular keratosis is a condition Tango was born with presenting itself on his face. Additional flaky spots are seen on his elbows and knees. There is no known cure, but the good news is it is purely cosmetic! Tango's life will not be hurt or shortened due to this. It does not lead to any other conditions later in life. There are no known cures although 1 vitamin A capsule 800mg a day has improved the look of things by 30 percent. If you are going to have something this is an easy thing to deal with. The rescue has all the doctor documenting and foster family is willing to answer any questions you have regarding this issue.
