Posted Breed: Labrador Retriever / Doberman Pinscher / Mixed (medium coat). Mitzi is a 2-year-old lab mix who weighed 50.6 lbs at intake! 02/27/24 Mitzi is still looking for her new family! Even though she came in with her daughter Little Mit we are not requiring that they be adopted together. We have found that Mitzi does not always appreciate Little Mits high energy. We think Mitzi would be just as content having all the attention on herself and not having to share with her daughter! Mitzi loves frozen kongs and is always happy to go outside on an adventure! If you are interested in meeting her, please let us know! 01/20/24 Mitzi and her daughter Little Mit arrived at the shelter as strays, and their previous owner chose to surrender them to the shelter. They were said to be friendly with everyone, including older children and other dogs. Neither of them have experience with small children or babies, so please take this into consideration before introducing them to any. These girls do not do well with cats and probably wouldn't do well with pocket pets because they love to chase small animals! They were said to generally be friendly with strangers but will bark at them when they approach the house. These girls were said to be housebroken, but have never been crated. They are used to being on secure tie outs outside when left home alone. Mitzi and Little Mit have been known to get into the trash, so make sure it is secure whenever they are left unattended. They also are not used to riding in cars, so they may need some help and patience when first riding in one. They are both said to be gentle when playing and super sweet! If you are interested in meeting Mitzi, Little Mit or the pair, please give the shelter a call!
