Posted Breed: Labrador Retriever / Mastiff / Mixed (short coat). The dogs Arcadia Animal Rescue saves are mainly located in southern states, such as NC, SC, TN and TX. We can transport to most states, through partner networks. Virtual meet n greets can be arranged for all non-local adopters. Bubba (black) and Betsy (brown) are two adorable 2.5 y/o pups looking for their forever home together! Bubba is 70 lbs, while Betsy is a bit smaller at 53 lbs. They are a bonded pair and must be adopted together. While Bubba and Betsy do prefer to be indoors most of the time, they love to wrestle with one another in the yard! They aren't much for walking on leashes, but they absolutely adore a big backyard to run and play in! They are very timid, and will take a little while to warm up to you. However, they are very very sweet; once they get more comfortable and familiar with you, they make the best companions and additions to your family! They are both crate trained, and enjoy spending time in it! It is their safe place and sanctuary. Their owner surrendered them to the shelter back in November having had no vetting, they were not spayed or neutered, and Betsy was heartworm positive (she has since been treated). Betsy carries around her right front arm/paw and functions like a tripod. Despite that, it doesn't slow her down at all, and she loves to play rough and tough with Bubba! Bubba and Betsy are presumed to be litter mates but we aren't certain. One thing we are certain about, though, they are very much bonded to one another. Please help share this post, and let's find them the wonderful home they so deserve!! [NOTE: Bubba & Betsy are currently in foster care in SC, where they were saved from the shelter. Transportation will be arranged to the northeast for a committed adopter (or foster-to-adopt)] To apply to adopt, click on .arcadiarescue/application. This is far from ideal, they really need to be in loving homes. Due to record number owner surrenders this year, we have zero foster homes available. Fostering helps save another pup from euthanasia in an overcrowded kill shelter needing to free up a kennel. If you can foster, go to .arcadiarescue/foster and fill out a foster application. Overview:
The Mastador is a cross between a purebred Mastiff and a purebred Labrador Retriever. They are called hybrid dogs due to their origination from two different pure breeds. The Mastador is a large dog that can stand from 28 to 36 inches and weigh anywhere between 100 to 200 pounds or more. These dogs are alert, cheerful, loyal and social. They are very strong dogs that have brown, expressive eyes and strong muscular legs. These dogs are suitable for families with older children as they get excited and may knock over small children by accident. These dogs are social and get along well with other dogs and pets. They are loyal and protective of their family and make very good companion dogs. They can fit into apartment life is sufficient exercise and running opportunities are provided although they would ideally need a house with a fenced yard.
