Lelani is available for adoption. She is 9 years old and weighs 9 lbs. Her adoption fee is $750.00. Meet Lelanie! This delightful girl is estimated to be around 9 years old and weighs 9 pounds. Lelanie is so loving, gentle and has a sweet personality. The first thing you will love about her is how she greets you- a happy dance with a shower of kisses! Lelanie loves attention and to be loved on. She loves to be with her people and will not let you out of her sight. Her big puppy-dog eyes will melt your heart! Take her home and you will have the best little buddy. Lelanie is quiet and sociable with people and the dogs. She is good with house training, and sleeps through the night. She does not bark much and prefers a quiet environment. She is so pleasant and content just to be by your side. Lelanie does not like being alone or in a crate. While she behaves fine in the house when people are not home. It will be best to have someone to be home with her most of the time. She does love being outside, and especially enjoys a nice walk. She needs someone to commit to walking her everyday. We have seen her relax since she has been with us and she even plays a little now. She is waiting for a family to share her love with and shower with kisses forever! Lelani is staying with Tammy in Bloomsburg, PA.

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
