Once she knows that you’re her person, she loves belly rubs and chin scratches. Cyra’s ideal home would be in an active, single-family home with space to run around. She would benefit from a patient, experienced family who can continue her training. Cyra gets along with dogs, both small and large. She would likely get along with a young, active fur sibling. Cyra has had no issues with cats and has just ignored them. She would likely do well in a home with older, dog-savvy children, as she needs extra time to adjust to her new environment. Cyra is crate-trained and housetrained. She has no issue going in the crate, especially for a high-value treat. She can be crated during the day throughout the workday and sleeps in there overnight with no issue. Cyra has not had accidents in the home and will alert you when she needs to go out. She is working on her leash skills and will look to you for extra guidance. Cyra is incredibly smart and food-motivated, as she easily learned commands like ‘sit’, ‘bed’, and ‘crate’. As she is experiencing so many new things for the first time, she will make for a great addition to the home with your patience and reassurance. Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
