I'm Finch, the coolest Peekapoo around, and I'm ready to tell you all about myself. First things first, let's talk stats. I'm a 16-pound male with the fluffiest fur you've ever seen. My foster family calls me a goofball, and I guess that's pretty accurate. You see, I had a bit of a shaky start when I first arrived, but it only took me about a week to decide that my foster humans were the best thing since squeaky toys. I'm your typical puppy with boundless energy and an insatiable curiosity. Toys? Treats? You name it, I love it. I haven't met any tiny humans yet, but I think I could handle the older ones who understand that I like to take my time getting to know them. Now, let's get to the nitty-gritty. Potty training is a work in progress and with some more practice I know I will be a success. I'm a pro at sleeping in my kennel through the night, but don't leave me in there during the day unless you want a symphony of barks. I'm just not a fan of being cooped up when my people are around. It would be best if my forever home didn’t have shared walls. Leash training is a work in progress, but I'm getting there. A fenced yard isn't a deal-breaker, but I might need some time to adjust to the whole leash-walking thing. I do best with a confident doggie friend to show me the ropes, and I'm a quick learner—especially when I watch my furry companions. Oh, and did I mention I live with teenagers? I'm warming up to them slowly, but more time together will do the trick. So there you have it—I'm Finch, the Peekapoo extraordinaire, ready to bring some puppy joy and love into your home. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.
