Border Collie
Scottish Sheep Dog, Welsh sheep dog
The Border Collie enjoys working; if not actually herding sheep, he needs to be in the company of an athletic owner who will allow him to work out often. He's intelligent and eager to please, so makes a fine companion for active and attentive owners.
Siberian Husky
Chukcha, Chuksha
The Siberian Husky is very similar in looks to the Alaskan Malamute, yet somewhat smaller in build and not quite as bold. Still, he needs a strong-willed owner who will stay in control. This dog loves to roam and explore, so he needs a nice big yard.
Labradoodle
The Labradoodle is a mix between the Labrador Retriever and the Poodle. Both breeds are excellent for children and families. The Labradoodle became known in 1988, when Australian breeder Wally Conron crossed the Labrador Retriever and Standard Poodle at the Royal Guide Dogs Associations of Australia in Victoria. Conron's aim was to combine the low-shedding coat of the Poodle with the gentleness and trainability of the Labrador, and to provide a guide dog suitable for people with allergies to fur and dander. Sultan, a dog from this litter, displayed all the qualities Conron was seeking and worked as a guide dog for a woman in Hawaii for ten years. Although Guide Dogs Victoria no longer breed Labradoodles, they are bred by other guide and assistance dog organizations in Australia and other places. The Association for the Blind of Western Australia has introduced Labradoodles into their training program, and their first, Jonnie, graduated in November 2010. Labradoodles are now widely used around the world as guide, assistance, and therapy dogs as well as being popular family dogs. The Norwegian Royal Crown Prince and Princess own a Labradoodle.
Pomsky
Siberian Husky Pomeranian Mix
A Pomsky is a cross between a Pomeranian and a Siberian Husky. A crossing usually consists of a female Husky and a male Pomeranian. This is to avoid any complications that may occur if the smaller Pomeranian were to carry puppies sired by the much larger Siberian Husky male.
Goldendoodle
The Goldendoodle is a mix between the Golden Retriever and the Poodle. This breed is a good choice for families.
English Cream Golden Retriever-Poodle (Standard)
This breed is a cross between an Poodle (Standard) and a English Cream Golden Retriever. This breed is a hybrid or designer breed that was developed by crossing Poodle (Standard) and a English Cream Golden Retriever. Though the breed was intended to be a 50/50 mix, many of the it are bred over many generations and may not always be 50% and 50%. The best way to determine the temperament of a mixed breed is to look up all breeds in the cross and know you can get any combination of any of the characteristics found in either breed. We currently do not have more detailed information for this breed.
Miniature Australian Shepherd
Toy Australian Shepherd, Mini Australian Shepherd, Mini Aussie
The Miniature Australian Shepherd is a well-balanced dog of medium size and bone. He is attentive and animated, showing strength and stamina combined with unusual agility. Slightly longer than tall, he has a coat of moderate length and coarseness with coloring that offers variety and individuality in each specimen. An identifying characteristic is his natural or docked bobtail. In each sex, masculinity or feminity is well-defined. Bone is moderate and clean with coarseness, heaviness or lightness being undesirable. Overall type, balance of conformation and movement are valued more highly than individual structural perfections because it is balance which enables him to fulfill his purpose.
Labrador Retriever
Labrador, Lab
The Labrador Retriever is probably America's favorite dog. He is playful (well into his adult years) and is often seen as a lifelong friend.
Golden Retriever
Yellow Retriever
The Golden Retriever has a great personality and is easy to train, making this one of America's favorite family pets. They are good hunting companions and also great with kids.
YorkiePoo
The Yorkie-Poo is a mix between the Poodle and the Yorkie. The dogs can have the temperament of either breed. Some are better in homes with children than others.
