Posted Breed: Pit Bull Terrier (medium coat). Honey is a perfect name for this little lady because she is just as sweet. While it took Honey a bit to settle into TJO, she has always looked forward to spending time with staff on walks and showing us how sweet she can be. OTHER PETS: Honey would do best as an only pet. [Should Be Only Pet] OWNER EXPERIENCE: Honey will need someone who can make her feel comfortable in her new environment, someone with previous experience with nervous/timid dogs would be best. [Some Experience] KIDS: Honey is a timid dog and is fearful of rope toys; she will need to live with people who are able to respect her space and boundaries and give her the time she needs to get comfortable with them. [13+ (Must Meet First)] ACTIVITY LEVEL: Honey will be a great walking companion for her new owner, even at the kennel the chance to get out on a walk and explore the world around her excites Honey so much she forgets how timid she is. [Good Walking Buddy] VETERINARY CARE: [Routine] LEVEL OF TRAINING NEEDED: Positive reinforcement training will help Honey bond with her new owner as well as helping her build the confidence she needs to be the best dog she can be.
