ive me the time and attention I deserve. My previous owner didn't have enough time set aside for me, but I did learn some pretty cool things that I'd like to tell you about.
First off, I am already house-trained, and I don't destroy stuff in your home when I'm left alone. I also know how to sit and stay, how to lie down and go to my bed, and I even know neat tricks like shake and hand targeting, and I do an awesome play dead. I'm a champion fetch player - I play perfectly by the rules, bringing the ball back to you and dropping it at your feet - and I have a near perfect record at tug'o'war. Am I impressive, or what?!
For such a burly guy, I'm actually pretty good at walking attached to that little leash thingy, and if you are not quite so sure about it, I'm also comfortable wearing a nice head halter that will make it even easier for you. In fact, although I like running and playing in a yard, those little fences don't do much to keep me in if there's something really interesting on the other side, so I'd really prefer to get most of my exercises walking, running or hiking with you.
Toys? Love 'em! I can love them a bit too much sometimes, so I need the really durable kind, like Kongs, or the edible kind, like antlers or bully sticks.
I adore kids, as long as they're sturdy enough to handle my size and strength. I do tend to get wild and crazy when I'm in full play mode, so kiddos 8 and up are best for me to live with. I'd love to be an only canine, but if you have a sweet, playful, female dog, we could end up being best friends. Even though I can be rambunctious, I actually prefer gentler dog play more than the rough and tumble stuff. My only request is no felines please! They kind of make me lose my mind, so it's better for me never to be around them.
There you have it. I hope I've convinced you to come and meet me at the adoption center and really hope you'll take me home when you leave. I can't wait to be part of a family again!
All Brother Wolf animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations before adoption (if species appropriate).
Application and counseling is required prior to all adoptions.
Individuals interested in adopting a puppy are STRONGLY encouraged to download and read this FREE ebook. Even if you've raised puppies in the past, this is an invaluable resource to help make your new addition successful!
Please note that visual breed identification of companion animals has been proven to be unreliable, so for most of our animals we provide a best guess at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our animals as an individual and do our best to describe and place pets based on personality not breed label.
