Clark. Here is the link to our application. toolkit.rescuegroups/of/f?c=WHMSYCNC. Clark was born on 12/17/2023 into a Best Friend Pet Adoption foster home. So he has always know a friendly caring human. Clark is ready to start his new adventure in life. Clark's Mom weigh s 51 lbs but we feel Clark may be larger when fully grown. Clark is doing great with crate training. He goes into the crate easily at night and will usually sleep through the night. Potty training is going well. Clark goes right out in the morning and takea care of business. He's learning to sit and patiently waits for his treat when he comes in. He's a super playful puppy and great with the fosters dog. Clark loves to chase his puppy friend through the house but also is great about entertaining himself with toys. And he's a cuddle muffin, loving to curl up next to us at nap time. Clark has only had one set of puppy vaccines, so he will still be susceptible to diseases. The adopter will need a home that has their own yard. He cannot live in an apartment where he would be sharing common space where other dog may have been. He cannot take potty breaks where other unknown dogs may have walked until his second vaccine which will be around 3/9. Clark is working on his housebreaking skills. He will need to be taken outside on a regular basis to become fully housebroken . Adopters who are not home during the day will need to have a plan which includes how to manage potty breaks and interaction with humans during the day. Please consider this sweet puppy for the new addition to your family! Some of the information contained in this biography includes approximations based on our expertise and is not guaranteed. Applicants need to live no further than one hour from Raleigh/Cary NC as our dogs must be seen by a local BFPA veterinarian for all medical care prior to adoptions being finalized. Krackel will be altered at 5-6 months old. Adopters must be willing to bring any puppy to the Raleigh/Cary area for all medical care needed. F oster guardians deliver dogs to their new homes for adoption trials and we do home visits to finalize all adoptions. We therefore require applicants to live within one hour drive of Raleigh/Cary NC. INTERESTED IN ADOPTING CLARK? 1. Do your research - find out what types of dogs would be a good fit for your lifestyle and the activity level of your family. Also keep in mind the grooming needs of certain breeds that might require frequent maintenance.
  2. Decide what you can handle - before you get sucked in by all the adorable puppy eyes you're about to see, think long and hard about the appropriate age dog for your family or if you are capable of caring for a special needs dog. Puppies are a lot of work, if you don't have time for potty training and obedience classes you'll want to consider an older dog. There are plenty of middle aged, vibrant dogs up for adoption as well as many senior dogs that would be a great fit for a family looking for a more subdued dog with lots of love to give.
  3. Learn about the shelters and their adoption policies - It might be easier to start looking at shelters within a certain radius of home but don't be afraid to venture out to other states as well. Many states have larger populations of adoptable dogs and their shelters are willing to transport pets to suitable adopting families. Some shelters might have requirements for a home visit, a fenced yard or require you to visit the pet multiple times before you commit to adopting. Understand that the shelters are doing their best to place the pets in suitable homes and these requirements are in the best interest of both you and the pet
  4. Start looking… - Once you know what you're looking for and what to expect you can start your search through thousands of adoptable dogs. PuppyFinder allows you to search by age, breed, location and gender.
  5. Meet in person. - Whenever possible it is best to meet the animal in person before agreeing to bring them into your life. Even though photos and descriptions can tell you a bit about a dog, you can't get a true feeling for the animal until you are able to interact with them and make sure they are a good fit for your entire family, including other pets.
